Chocolate hack: Go to the baking department (not the fancy expensive specialty chocolate bars) in the grocery store and locate Ghirardelli 70% if you need to have sweet or 100% cacao. They are only $3.25 for an 8oz bar. Also, the lowest cadmium, arsenic, & lead (consumer labs tested).

My bride has early onset Alzheimer's with significant dementia. Lately I been putting a tablespoon of 100% organic cacao powder combined with lions main fruiting body and mycelium into her morning bullet proof coffee (I use MCT oil, organic A2 grass-fed butter, filtered water and organic hopefully mold free Palestinian coffee ) and a Tablespoon of cacao in her evening goat milk yogurt. Her decline does seem to have stopped and she seems to be more engaged despite her aphasia. Now if I can just get her glucose levels under control. Even on high fat, medium protein, low carb keto-flex diet and fasting 16 hours a day her glucose levels are 110 -140. She's thin as a rail and just laughs at me saying, "That's cause I'm naturally sweet!" Anyway, this is more great information to use in our battle to fully reverse this disease. Thanks for all you do Rangan and Dr. Li.

I have to treat myself like a child. I make rules. Only eat organic. Never eat after 6p.m. Never eat anything with seed oils (so if you are at a buffet or meal made by someone you cant trust to use top quality food just say you have an upset stomach and can't eat). Never eat foods with added sugar. If you follow those rules without exception your diet will be perfect.

I grew up eating Cantonese style cooking where we sautéed and steamed our vegetables. Olive oil has a very strong flavor that does not complement our style of cooking. I learned about Pecan Oil about 7 years ago from a doctor who turned chef on a PBS channel. It has equal or higher smoking point than Olive Oil. It has a higher viscosity than most commercial oil such as canola or vegetable oil which means I need less as I cook. Most importantly it is not chemically processed, but mechanically pressed which is better for my health. Also, it has a mild flavor which enhances my sautéed food. I’m curious to know what Dr. Li think of Pecan Oil as a physician and health expert.

We as adults noticed , it was harder to settle the children , by at least an hour to 2 hours of restlessness and overstimulated , We changed back to cocao drink, things went back to managable, i now consume cocao and cloves,made into a drink ,at night and sleep extremely well on it , cheers ❤

@logan0501
@logan0501 10 күн бұрын
You’re spreading misinformation. Calorie counting isn’t false-it’s basic science. Weight loss still comes down to calories in vs. calories out. While the quality of food matters for overall health, it doesn’t change the fact that consuming more calories than you burn leads to weight gain. Dismissing calorie counting misleads people and ignores proven research. Both calorie quantity and quality are important for managing health and weight.
@ryan6391
@ryan6391 9 күн бұрын
@@logan0501 you are correct, but this person said that quality really doesn't matter and calories is what counts when actually quality is even more important for good health and even weight loss. If you are eating high quality foods like whole foods and not processed chemical laden garbage your body will be healthier, you will be more active and you will ever consume less and have a healthy weight. Alwaye exercise, but not the point here. Try to get fat from eating beef, sweet potatoes and broccoli. The food industry puts chemicals, sugars, corn syrup into these processed foods that make them addictive so you overconsume and you still don't get the same nutrients you would of from a good diet. The food is what matters more, not calorie counting. The food industry, diet advice is part of whats killing people today and saying the type of calorie doesn't matter is misleading the public.
@dennisward43
@dennisward43 6 күн бұрын
@@logan0501 No, calories are just inaccurate guidelines. Weight loss involves much more than calories, water loss for a start. You can lose weight by drinking less water and eating exactly the same units of energy (the human body is not a closed system). So you are the one spreading misinformation.

Ghee, if pure is terrific. Better with high heat cooking than olive oil and is a healthy saturated fat. Stick with ghee. I use it too.

That is why is so confusing to make a decision about dieting. Carnivores say that you don’t need the fiber or the vegetables have bad chemicals that cause inflammation. WHO is right ? Lol

The truth is, the body is pretty adaptive. It can make do with most diets, provided you aren't laying on the couch all day or have serious health issues. Quite frankly, most, if not all diets, have one thing in common: restriction. If so-called carnivores rant about how eating only meat saved them from leprosy or whatever, I just wonder what the heck they've been eating all this time or what they've been doing to their bodies. If it helps them, more power to them. I personally see it as another fad diet, possibly driven by sociopolitical issues. I have no health complications. If I want to lose weight, I eat about 1500-1800 calories and moderately increase weight lifting and cardiovascular activities. Boom, I lose weight. Otherwise I just... eat meat sometimes, eat grains, vegetables, fruits sometimes. I may skip a meal here and there. I may pig out on a Friday or a Saturday (but not every Friday or Saturday). The body is forgiving as long as you stay active and keep some muscle on you, at least in my personal experience.

@@dunnono00Pretty accurate. I'm an omnivore myself. I find both a carnivore and a vegan diet very restrictive in opposite directions. My one rule is minimal or no processed food. And no simple sugars. That's it.

I think as long as you don’t eat too many overly processed foods (especially sugars) and you don’t eat in excess you’ll be fine. I don’t think they understand how our body processes meat or veggies or fruits etc… as much as they think they know. Stay active, stay hydrated, try out this and that and see how YOU feel best.

Olive oil is (oh so often) mixed with cheap seed oils, flavoured and coloured so you can't tell the difference. Think for a moment how many bottles of olive oil are on the shelves of every supermarket in every town and city in the world. For it to be real we would have to have olive trees lining the streets all over the world. It's impossible. Even the experts in Spain can't tell the difference. What's more, we still find olives in the stores. Where do they come from?
@dennisward43

Olive trees? Just eat the olives if you are worried about the quaity of olive oil. It won't be contaminated with cheap, inflammatory seed oils then.

@@toni4729You are right. There's a lot of adulteration in the mass olive oil market. However there are genuine brands out there. I know smaller house brands in Australia and the Palestine region has more authenticity. I've bought and tasted them. California as well. Your common Italian brands are mostly compromised..

@@Iron-Bridge I don't know how many olive trees are grown in the countries you praise, Australia for one. The room is here, but I live here and still prefer to buy animal fat. Only animal fat. I know the animals here are better treated.

And what other miracle foods and stuff have these people been fed to increase their stem-cells in that one month? Also, what makes you think that stem-cells floating around the blood steam is a good thing? Without doubt if you just added the chocolate drinks to their diet, you changed something else. You've removed something.
