I get up at 6am,its important to take time for yourself before the house wakes. I get up make my bed, open the window, say thanks for another day, take 15 minutes to meditate and clear the mind, because the mind is so busy when you wake up. There are no problems only in the mind. Clear the mind and get on with the day. Make time.

That's nice Joseph 🎉 I think that's good that you admit that you actually pray to the ALMIGHTY GOD. That's what I would like to hear from more people, NOT that they just speak to the universe. THAT'S a cop out. The Bible says that it is clearly seen from what is around us that these things are made. THEY didn't just arrive. NO more than a house that is stunningly beautiful just arrived, it was obviously made by a builder, someone designed it and built it. SO God Himself says that "it is inexcusable for people not to acknowledge by the things made that He exists.." (ROMANS 1:18~32) ESPECIALLY PARAGRAPH 20 SHOWS AND USES THE WORD INEXCUSABLE. (New World translation of the Holy Scriptures.) Sincerely Tammie 🙋🏼💕

I so agree. I love reading my Bible in the morning. And I enjoy to exercise and think about my Bible as I do. God is a wonderful way to start the day. Completely removes any worries as I cast all my cares on Jesus. My father, who's 81, does the same thing. He's very fit, incredibly alert (like he's in his twenties) and as calm as calm can be because he knows Jesus.

I do start it still in bed while waking up. I put myself in God's hands and read the daily readings. In prayer I go through my to do list for today and adjust the priorities and then check the weather (for clothing). Then I stand, speak a small morning prayer including some simple movements like opening my arms, kneeling and bowing and only then do I start my bathroom routine.

Thank you, I don't like doing exercise, but it's really easy to stand and swing my arms from side to side, then swing my arms above my head, then I swing one leg back and forth, then the other leg. I then do 6 squats and lastly I do 6 side squats on each leg. This has tightened my belly, given my shoulders more movement and shrunk the space between my legs. I've been slowly dying from ovarian cancer for the past 2 years, but chemo is keeping me alive even though I always end up in hospital from having an allergic reaction to it, I'm now on my 7th type of chemo. My oncologist has been trying to get me to do exercise because cancer patients do better when they exercise, but I was always in pain until 6 weeks ago when the hospital put me on steroids' and for the first time in two years I was pain free. So I started swinging my arms and legs to rebuild my muscles and now I feel so much better. My cancer is never going to stop coming back because I inherited a faulty BRAC 1 from my mother who died of the same cancer, but swinging my arms and legs makes me feel better inside and it's helping me to cope with having cancer.

Every a.m. wake up, meditate 15 min to a half hour with my favorite YT gurus Mooji and Tara Brach, do breath work and OM chanting, then do bed yoga stretches and finally say my prayers (with intention) for a beautiful, peaceful day, gratitude, self love and forgiveness and behavioral consciousness: extending kindness and helpfulness to others Sets me up for a day of deep inner peace, fun and happiness. I also say “I pray for the willingness to accept everything that happens to me with grace and gratitude.” Can’t live without doing any of those things now, including 15-30 minutes of Pilates. All of this feels sooo good.

The instructors voice is very soothing and pleasant to listen to. I am easily able to sit successfully through the entire CD, and for quite some time after. You have bridged the knowing gap ---doing gap brilliantly! Repetition rewires your brain and your body creates a new program, performing as autopilot. Discipline! I myself is a 76 years old senior GP, convinced that simple, smart selfcare is key. I hope young doctors now can learn and manage their own stress and have your tool 3 M in their toolbox. I believe I can live younger longer. When you gave a lecture in Stockholm I was there and bought your first two books. I have discovered that I have been angry at my entire family because covid forced me into retirement. So I'm home 24/7 and I am stressed out by all family members' behaviors. Thankyou for making me aware that "me" time is extremely important! I found that the affirmations work best for me to remember to say them a few times throughout the day. By doing this, I still do get angry but I don't stay angry for hours anymore. Now it's only for about 30 seconds. Then I can smile again.

Wow! I have been struggling for a very long time to find a way of making changes in an effort to improve my stress levels. I know first hand the damaging results of long term mental and physical stress on the body. I have anxiety, CPTSD and stage 4 liver cirrhosis which I feel without any doubt is a direct result of continuous stress. I also have realized the tremendous impact it has on my arthritis, fibromyalgia and general pain throughout my body. I was at the point of accepting there really wasn’t anything I could do to change my situation and felt very disheartened. However, after watching this video, I immediately felt a sense of peace and excitement because I now have a plan of action that I know in my heart is going to help me. I am also very excited to pass this information on to my family members to include both my grown children and my teenage grandchildren as obviously the sooner this becomes a part of your daily routine the more positive the outcome. I cannot say “Thank you” enough for the blessing of sharing this knowledge and I am forever grateful. May you continue to be abundantly blessed 😊❣️🙏🏻

Excellent video, and I look forward to watching more. I suffer from chronic pain, and I have a rule that when I can't sleep, I hit the exercise bike or do some step aerobics. I particularly clearly like your 3 4, 5 breathing technique. Very calming and helps with my asthma. Thank you!

You nailed Dr Rangan Chatterjee, daily routine is very important. I am 59 years old and I have my daily early morning routine and it is very helpful and effective to succeed and to be healthy and happy but I will try your prescribed routine because I find it logical and practical. I am interested to buy your book. Kodus to you!!!

Thank you so much for this talk! A lot of what you said is so true. I make movement/exercise a chore! I like stretching so I am going to try that while my coffee is brewing. Maybe that will help my attitude toward body health. I have been reading with my coffee for over 30 years. If I do social media first I get anxious/ stress. Positive affirmations, daily readers or prayers help my mindset the most. Have a wonderful day, it’s up to you!!! 😊

Definitely if I pick my phone up on a morning and start scrolling, we start comparing ourselves with unreal expectations of others. However I don't do it often because it sets me up for a negative day. You're right no ones going to do it for us 👍

Because GPs don’t have patients and time to listen talk more giving solutions all the like to do give you paracetamol and tell you don’t worry. Thank you for doing a good job. God bless

Thanks so much. Few mention about the falling back. I won’t beat myself up anymore. Few mention the good results of regular meditation too & how this gets lost when you get a bit lazy about it. After a few days of not meditating, I notice my joy & success fall off. Great to have these other options 🙏🏻

I have such a hard time waking up in the morning. Dragging my butt out of bed is my hardest struggle. I am late frequently. I never feel like I got enough sleep. I am in bed by 10, supposed to get up and leave by 8 am.. if I fall asleep by 11 and get up at 7 that would be 8 hours of sleep. Yet I struggle to get out of bed at 7. Hate to think about getting up earlier.

Dear Dr Chattergee, thank you so much for you easy to achieve wisdom and encouragement. I'm still doing a few body weight exercises each time I boil the kettle (at home) I think it was a lockdown tip. Tiny habits done every day do work. Now I need to build on connection and touch. Touch and warmth to me are in my top 5 basic needs and I know my stress levels/anxiety/sense of wellbeing can go down quite dramatically without them. Thank you for all you do, seriously, thank you. Love from North Yorkshire x

I already do something like this, but it's nice to have it confirmed. Still in bed, I do a short prayerful bible reading. Then I check the weather for the next two hours because I will soon be on my way on bicycle. Then I get up and do a mix of spoken morning prayer and miniature gymnastics with kneeling, bowing and circling my arms (helps my knees, upper back and shoulders).

I used to be so self-disciplined, and did Pilates or yoga or walking every day before I got ready for teaching. I’ve wanted to start a different morning routine, and you’ve started me thinking about things that aren’t so time consuming. Now, I get coffee and then meditate. Sometimes I do a small yoga routine or a little strength training. I guess I do have a morning routine, but I’m still recovering from a long illness, pain, and I’m taking full time care of my grown son who is sick with Lyme coinfections and long Covid triggered by mold toxicity from his father’s house. I’m waiting until this gets resolved to have a life again. Thanks for the pep talk!

I used to work at Adertising , I would be worried about something that happened at home, whilst I was driving. As I arrived at my starting time for work. I would put on a smile and off I went, my worries had gone, meeting people with a smile and thinking about what I was doing, made it impossible to worry. Amazinggggggggg. God bless, Keep safe and remember to smile, it makes you feel great!!

Great work Dr Chatterjee.if only we all had a gp we could go to like you I swear so many of our chronic ills would disappear or lessen to a great extent and our wellbeing as a nation could improve. I know this depends on people taking those first steps and no matter how much you tell people its still up to us but I do believe if you give people the tools and show them the compassion rather than judgement then most people I believe will want to move forward and change their lives
