Listen to Dr. Dray! I am 68 years old and have been doing her recommendations since before she was even born. Neither my face nor my neck show my age (However, my hips and knees sometimes do.😊) 1. Apply a liberal amount of Sunscreen including the neck. 2. Apply even more Sunscreen. 3. Read rules 1 and 2.

LOL! I wish I had known to start these things a few years earlier then when I found dr. Dre. I've been using sunscreen for quite some time due because of a medication that I take but not quite certain when I started use of sunscreen and of course I never reapplied. I was under the impression that I had to stay out of the Sun until I was told by a pharmacist to just use sunscreen! Had I known when I was 25 all of these recommendations, I guess I'd look about twelve years old by now! :-) needless to say I don't think I'd be too happy about that either, but I'd have great skin before the acne set in which for me seemed to be in my twenties.
@grimjowjaggerjak3 жыл бұрын
@@sable7114 You don't actually need to reapply. Doctors, etc. recommend you to reapply because most people don't put the recommended amount of sunscreen so asking to reapply every two hours is a way to make sure of that.

Text Neck is also very bad for the cervical spine (the bones in the back of the neck). It pushes the bones out of alignment. The lower part of the neck is where the nerves come out to travel into the arms, hands and fingers which can lead to numbness and tingling, and more substantial nerve damage. It also causes neck pain, headache, upper back ache...and also make you look older.

I like to spray my perfume on my hairbrush and brush it through my hair, I feel it lasts much longer than when sprayed on the skin. I read this in a magazine years ago and have been doing it ever since.
@keenanicole233 жыл бұрын
It has actually been proven that fragrances do last longer on hair than they do on skin. So your observation of fragrances lasting longer when sprayed on your hair as opposed to your skin is definitely correct! I'm always shocked that more people don't know this for some reason. Many brands now include a fragrance spray specifically for your hair in their collections that once only included your standard perfume, body spray, lotion, shower gel, etc. I have been using Pink Sugar's fragrance hair spray for several years now & I love it. It is harder to find these sprays in average department stores with a makeup/fragrance isle, but you can always find them at Sephora and/or Ulta beauty stores and many places online. The only difference in the Pink Sugar hair fragrance and body sprays are the product ingredients, which have been slightly altered to cater to your hair instead of your skin. Some ingredients that aren't the best for your hair have been removed and other ingredients that are good for your hair have been added. Definitely something to look into for anyone that hasn't yet.

Anyway, I bought the omnilux led mask a month ago and have been using it diligently for about 4-5 times a week (10 minutes each use). Haven't noticed much difference in my skin yet, but I've read that results will only be noticeable after at least 2-3 months. I'll consider adding peptides to my skincare! Smoked Meats are actually cooked at LOW temps...."low and slow" is the method. As a southerner, BBQ is LIFE where I live and the way we cook it is for a VERY long time (12-14 hours!) at Temps MUCH lower than you would use in an oven. It's not on direct heat and cooks at anywhere from 185° to 230° for a long time which is what makes the tough cuts of meat juicy and tender. You bake chicken in the oven at temperatures 100° or more HIGHER than smoked meats are cooked. As for other kinds of meat...there are methods such as "cold smoking". Bottom line, Smoked meats don't get cooked at high Temps (compared to baking) and are whole cuts of meat....not processed foods.

Ive often wondered how I have survived literally sleepless. I tried Ambien shortly after it was approved and was so grateful for the break from thought! I immediately purchased a coffee maker with a timer! Sleep...a revelation 🧡 Until I developed the side effect of going places with no memory of it ~ Yikes! Bye bye Ambien 😥 Years later I began taking Klonopin for sleep. Still do. I average about 5 hours nightly. I accept that. Of course I began trying what natural remedies were available in college. L-Tryptophan was supposed to be the go to. Nope! (Not on the market anymore. Some negative studies) Then Melatonin, Valerian root, chamomile tea, etc. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Nothing! I will continue my Klonopin. I will never get the requisite 7-9 hours. Yet I cannot express the relief of giving my brain a break. Yeah I have severe chronic pain so I don't sleep well and haven't for 15 years and my cortisol levels are permanently very high. I try avoid valium, sometimes it helps though today all day I've had a horrible headache and neckache all day this happens sometimes if it actually knocks me out for once and I stay in the same spot too long.

Things must be really bad in that area because I've lost half my hair this year. Need to get a bloodtest which will say "yeah everything is out of whack" just like usual lol.

How do you protect your eyes when using red light? The devise says to close your eyes, but you can still see "light" when your eyes are closed through the lids and when the devise is on your skin--Kind of through the skin. You also see the light when you turn it on....And why bother using the red light if you can't use it on the eye wrinkles of the upper lids and under the eyes and the corners of the eyes. If you can't get the collagen in the eyes to increase...why bother with the rest of the skin....as the eyes are the most noticeable. And why use red light if it will damage your sight? What happens if you accidently look at the red light?

Great video Dr, Dray! As for tea, just wanted to clarify that tea (camellia sinensis) must be consumed around 1 1/2 hours after your meals. Tea is quite high in tannins, a type of polyphenol that directly afffects the bioavailabilty of iron. Tea is a great love of mine and I had to learn to do this because it basically destroys your iron absorption.

I had been wanting to contact you about information on PoC so this video is a delight. I first started developing PoC at 55. My grandmother and all 5 of her sisters had it. It's good to know that there are some things that I can do to tone it down a bit. Mine has never itched but costume jewelry near my neck can't happen. Thank you for the video!

I've tried all sorts of products, lots of expensive brand creams and silicone (my skin didn't like it), I found something incredible from Big Island Bees - Healing Bee Balm with Wilelaiki beeswax and honey. It's all natural and locks in moisture and it erases fine lines when you put it on, it's the only one that works on my crepey neck skin. I'm not going to buy the $85 jar of moisturizer from Estee Lauder anymore.

Hi, here is a partial list of ingredients for the DRMTLGY neck cream you recommended; Phenoxyethanol, Pentylene Glycol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Secale Cereale , Allantoin, Sorbitan Laurate, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hydroxide, 3-Aminopropane Sulfonic Acid, Calcium Hydroxymethionine, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyethylcellulose, QUESTION: So as a doctor, are you saying that you are OK with us putting Phenoxyethanols, Crosspolymers, and Sodium HYDROXIDE (LYE) on our skin!!!!???? Which Directly Absorbs into our blood streams??? I'm just curious... To me, it doesn't matter how much natural or beneficial things are in something if its also loaded with TOXIC and Known Carcinogens. What's your take? Thanks...

I'm 65 and my neck naturally looks young - I don't have all the bags and wrinkles of some women 10 yrs. younger than I am! I also don't smoke, and get about 4 hrs. of sleep a night. I don't spend a lot of time outside, and when I do go out, I never wear sunscreen. I also don't wear scarves, except in winter. I drink 4 cups of dark roast coffee a day - only the first one has milk and sugar. I drink Jasmine green tea all day from Friday night to Saturday night (3 or 4 cups).

Buy Omnilux masks only through Omnilux in order to deal with them directly in case your mask should stop working as mine did. Otherwise you have to go through the vendor you purchased the mask to get warranty service. My vendor has not been helpful and has been a struggle to get my mask replaced. BUYER BEWARE

I am 51 & do not have any trouble with dry skin or wrinkles. Most people are shocked to learn I am not 10 years younger or more. My concern is that I do not have a defined neckline, & that has been true as long as I can remember. Yet it may be worsening with age. For example, if you were to look at my silhouette, my neckline curves to my chin instead of going straight up to meet the back of my jowl. From the front it can make me look like I have a double chin if I am not careful. I am not overweight at all, I just have this droopy neckline. I'm not sure which products or procedures would best address this situation.
