The lady went to the event with an agenda. Since she has previously stated that Meghan Markle was abused by the King and Queen, why did she go? Buckingham Palace needs to do a better job of checking their guests. Are the people of Britain so sensitive that being asked where are you from is considered racist abuse? Here in the U.S., that question is asked all the time and nobody takes offense (that I know of). I usually answer I was born x, I live in x but my family is from x (country of origin). This lady knew exactly what Lady Susan was asking but chose to deliberately to be obtuse with her answers. Some people are sh"" stirrers, always looking/creating issues where there are none.

Agree. If you read the tweets from Ngosi (which she also lied about sending, even though the whole world can see them) before she went to this event, you realise she is untrustworthy. Not only did she tweet that MM was the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of the Royal family - but she even went so far to say that it was the literal definition of domestic abuse, an insult to the women at her refuge. On top of that. she tweeted that the reason MM and Harry were not allowed on the balcony at the jubillee because the Royal family wanted an all-white balcony - RACIST! she added at the end in caps. I mean how can you trust a woman who tweets utter tosh like that? She clearly despises the Royal family and their European whiteness, so why did she even attend? She also referred to the conversation she tweeted as a transcript which is 1) either a lie, because a transcipt of something means the exact conversation word for word, which she wouldnt remember or 2) she went there secretly recording and looking for a prime opportunity to bait someone and accuse them of so-called abuse. This woman is toxic and not fit to mentor women who have really been abused.

Its a bit of a confusing thing though. The woman in question has changed her name from Marlene Headly to Ngozi Fulani. She was wearing a mishmash of African traditional styles- even though she was born and bred in UK and her parents are from the Caribbean. Its no wonder some one was interested in where she came from. Fulani supposedly runs a charity for battered women, but says she was "traumatised and violated" by a clumsy question from a woman in her 80s. (and as an aside, the Fulanis were heavily involved in the African slave trade, so rather an unfortunate selection of names!)

@@greencloud2225 and I expect Lady Hussey over the decades has learned about other cultures and history and very likely knew the outfit was a mishmash and that the name was known in slave trade. I grew up in a city where, when I was a child, we always asked a new child this question: "What are you?" We always meant what is your nationality. There were Catholic Churches for the Irish, the Italian, the Polish, the German, the Lithuanian, the Armenian, and many Jews. We were used to being asked what our origins were. One young friend asked what I meant. I explained and she said she was American. I protested and said that no one was only American. So she allowed that she was part British, part Irish, part French. I am so sorry that Susan Hussey was let go after so many glorious years of service. What a horrible way to end her service. To my mind, this will leave a very bitter taste in her mouth and pain in her heart regarding the Royal Family. She was very unfairly treated. Younger people today have very thin skin and are urged to complain at what they perceive as the slightest slight! I do think a conversation about beliefs and an explanation of why this question was broached could have been very helpful. I wholeheartedly believe Susan Hussey should be reinstated. The right action was not taken. But punishment nowadays is always assumed the antidote to fear--fear on the part of the Royal Family for possible outcries. It does nothing to ameliorate the situation.

Lady Hussey was definitely set up. The woman came with a false identity. She had a false name. She is actually called Mary Headley and she was pretenting to be of African descent by wearing Nigerian tribal attire. Apparently her family are Indian and Carribean. Lady Hussey asked her where she was from and she gave the charity's name. When asked again she said where the charity office is. Lady Hussey asked her were her 'people' were from meaning her family/heritage/origin. I get asked this all the time because I live in Devon and have a Yorkshire accent and I don't mind at all. During my Frist of Tibet, Tibetans asked me where I am from ? My answer: I’m a Tibetan. Their respond : No you are Chinese? The reason is I have short hair, I talk and walk differently , because I grew up in Germany. And for Tibetans , who have lost their country, family and freedom, it is an insult to be called Han Chinese ( at that time because I thought all Chinese were evil, but now know they have suffered too). In Germany one elderly women asked the same question, when replying to her question: I can’t be Eskimo or Tibetan because I have big eyes and do not stink! After explaining to her, we had long friendly conversation… All sound minded people should reject racism and other ignorant matters ! Unfortunately this woman has caused more divisions and has brought harm to the cause. I would like to take this moment to also reflect that it could be elderly abuse against Lady SH… A little understanding and kindness from Ngozi Fulani could of gone a lot better instead of screaming racism and posting it immediately on tweeter or instagram… Ngozi Fulani showed her real character to us all. She was a guest on Jeremy Vine’s show and Ngozi denied ever posting anything about Megan and Harry on social media…I guess “recollections may vary”….Also, Mandu Reid, corroborated Ngozi’s story, however Mandu has associations with Shouty Shola from pics on social media.. By the way, Sistah was not invited to this event; apparently Ngozi piggybacked from another invited organization…what’s going on? Race baiting?..I would even turn it around and say Ngozi acted on elder abuse!!🇨🇦 Also, Netflix docu-crap, does PH&MM have permission to publish private wedding photos without the other guests permissions… Investigation and limitation is looming against the ex-royals and Netflix. H&M are shameful, deceitful and hateful…They should be investigated for provocation, slander and unsubstantiated racism.. Netflix used the contents that it’s not a doco-series but an embarrassment of production, directorial and false information… MM is always crying in the Netflix doco-crap…I guess this is how you empower women…not! If you look at her tweeter. Fulani is sexist. For someone who does DV charity, she supports Amber Heard. Fulani is also racist because she called Andrew Pierce a "ignorant fool" just because she does not agree with what he said.

Ridiculous reaction from the alleged victim. She showed up dressed in a way to cause such curiosity from everyone and I don't believe any disrespect was intended. Was it planned in order to join the group claiming the RF is racist. After 60 years of service, it could have been handled fairly. Shows the monarchy feels threatened and that weakens them. The apology was enough.

I just have to ask myself what was the traumatizing about that conversation? She asked to where she was from? She asked her several times? Maybe she could have said it in a different way but and been a little less abrupt but really what was traumatizing? I just came back from a cruise where all of the crew staff were from various countries. Everyone that I came in regular contact with, I asked where they were from, if I didn't know, I asked what language they spoke in. Usually I asked them to teach me something to say. They really enjoyed me being interested in their heritage. So again I ask, what was traumatizing exactly? I personally might have been a little traumatized by her rude responses.... But I really don't see what the big deal was. I'm also really curious why she needed to bring a tape recorder? It almost seems like she was going there looking for a problem. But maybe I'm just suspicious because I know this woman was supportive or involved with BLM. It's hard for me to take her seriously.
