Stewart, what I like about Dr Sten is that he has a sense of _balance_ . Dr Alan Goldhamer of the True North Health Center calls butter 'coagulated cow pus' and says you might just as well take a straw, stick a straw into the ulcer and sick it up as consume milk or butter. This is such a wildly extremist, inaccurate, unprofessional thing to say. And, in my opinion, legally actionable by the Dairy Industry. I drink Kefir. ?

Dr Sten is a legend. He is literally saving people's lives. I can't describe how grateful I am to have found him as a resource. He spells it out in very succinct and logical terms - removing much of the hesitation, uncertainty and indecision from the keto equation. Using principles he's expounded, I've lost 90lb since January - and high LDL cholesterol has been a by-product of my extreme weightloss. My doctors were worried of course and wanted to put me straight on a high dose of statins. Though the information that Dr Sten and others have given me, I didn't fall into the panic that my doctors wanted. I was able to reason with them that my high LDL was part of my body dealing with the changes I've undergone. My body knows what it's doing: it's repairing a fatty liver, it's undergoing cell shrinkage - things that release extra cholesterol into the blood. I told them my body is not on carbs anymore so the oxidative stress has decreased hugely, therefore my LDL doesn't represent the same risk that somebody on lots of carbs would attract. So thanks Dr Sten - you're a hero in my eyes!
