Cod liver oil converted. I do not mind being a sweet sweet fatty. I just want to be healthy and live to a ripe old age. This worryingly all resonates. I think looking right back working at a animal shelter. Either strong disinfectant or animal bites/bug bites set my thyroid issues off. I was a size 12. In a few months size 24. They sacked me from my other job at the time, working in a health store. Lol. I Was at college and training for the London marathon and going out with my friends & studying and working a lot then suddenly I was a elderly looking obese balding women with absolutely no memory. I couldn't even communicate what was wrong with me. My ex at the time took me to the Dr and literally spoke for me. I was just shivering and couldn't even walk short distances. My life has been a trip. Thanks for the knowledge Dr Berg. Baby steps forward are are still steps forward. Keeping at it. I absolutely crave carbs. I think it's possible it's this. Being a biological curiosity I found out Aswaghanda makes me absolutely crazy. Blood rushing, Angry! I can't take that stuff. Or I will Be doing jail time. Makes me wonder x I have a similar issue with my levothyroxine but it is much less. But I have to take it two hours before seeing anyone or I am just snappy and I can feel my blood literally rush. I do wonder about thyroid patients mental health. It has to be absolutely connected x

Dr Berg the reason the medical profession doesn't recognize adrenal fatigue is because most ppl over 30 are suffering from it and they would have to admit there's something very wrong with our diet and lifestyle and then if they had to tell everyone to do healthy keto and reduce stress then everyone would be too healthy and hence, non profitable.

I was diagnosed with ADD at a young age and put on the highest dosage of vyvanse and adderall (yes two prescription both at highest dosage) which led to way too much cortisol, horrible sleep problems, and a lot of adrenal fatigue. I was up to 300 lbs at one time but alhamdulilah I'm down to 170 lbs because of the healthy Keto Diet Plan. Now I'm avoiding caffeine and all stimulants, walking in sunlight and getting good amounts of sleep in hopes to "turn off" my cortisol switch and repair my cognitive abilities naturally, in shaa Allah

I saw this and immediately thought of military veterans, combat or not, it's a high stress environment, and while they are in, there is an outlet, usually, for the sugars being released, but then they get out or retire, and then it's down hill. Seperation anxiety, loss of purpose, lack of motivation, etc...when I got out of military in 2000, i went from 165lbs to 210lbs, in about 6 months, took me 20 years to beat it. But here is what I know, the old stressors always linger in us, we have to find purpose, and peace with who we are. This video could literally save someones life. Pass it on to a Vet you know that may be struggling.

An important update: I started gaining weight and my health began to decline again. But this time the doctors finally figured out I have Cushing’s disease - a benign pituitary tumor that has been causing chronically high cortisol levels. I guess that stressful period in my life simply made it worse. I think it’s important for people to be aware of this so they can get thoroughly checked and diagnosed early on, as Cushing’s can be fatal in the long run. I literally went years suffering endlessly because I brushed off my symptoms as simply adrenal fatigue and never thought it could actually be a tumor. I’m due for surgery in the upcoming months. Blessings to all 🙏 Also, I still think reducing stress or learning to cope with it through a mind-body connection is still important. I’ve begun doing Qigong, meditation, long walks in nature. And although it hasn’t cured my tumor, I think I’d be way worse off without these.

I had a right adrenal adenoma that caused Conns and Cushing's syndrome. I had a right adrenalectomy in 2018. It looks like the Cushing's has returned and the remaining adrenal will be removed. I will need to take replacement hydrocortisone but it is better than dealing with uncontrollable and autonomous cortisol and aldosterone secretion. Dr. Bergs advice is still very useful for my situation. I will be going back to a ketogenic diet once the Cushing's is resolved.

I think in general weight gain = allergic reaction to the things consumed, an intermittent fasting helps metabolize the allergens faster otherwise one modern meals worth of allergens potentially hundreds even thousands of different allergens in one modern meal, some of which seem to take upto 6 months to metabolize, while the allergens cause weight gain among numerous other symptoms. A century ago folks ate a few dozen organic things sourced locally, thus it was much easier for them to identify what they were specifically allergic to an avoid consuming those triggers, today folks consume thousands of different food additives/processes regularly, an the body metabolizes them at different rates, an the plants/animals may or maynot contain other chemicals/medicines/herbicides/fungicides/pesticides/experimental gmos/etc which different folks maybe allergic to in different quantities as well, one crop/animal they eat from might not contain allergens, while another of the same type of crop/animal might contain allergens, thus with moderns societies world wide food chain composed of thousands of different variables sourced dynamically from around the world, with no accountability, how can folks not be allergic to some of the thousands of things they are consuming, which causes weight gain bloating sustained swelling overtime, caffeine is one of thousands of chemicals for example which contributes to anxiety which contributes to stress, stress which further compounds the issue. Intermittent fasting does seem to help me dramatically both by purging the allergens, an giving the digestive system a break a chance to rest an heal, once the body has purged the allergens after 4-6 months depending on how often I fast, I can then eat as much as I like of simple organic things that I am not allergic to without weight gain, but as soon as I try to eat the processed foods with their chemical soup of thousands of potential allergens bloating seems inevitable, but as you indicated intermittent fasting does seem to help make me more resistant. Thanks for helping me begin to understand these things an the great importance of fasting as well.

For some reason I lost 45 of my 170lbs. I ended up in hospital with what was diagnosed as hyperaldostronism and by default hypertensive crisis. Once my potassium levels were restored, I was discharged with the standard cocktail of blood pressure meds. At no point has any attempt been made to even try to address adrenal fatigue. The doctors look at me like I'm a flat earther when I ask about fixing my adrenals. The only fix so far has been increasing BP meds and regular EKG's. I know better than to accept any of this.

Hi Dr Berg, this video makes perfect sense for people who suffer from earlier stages of adrenal fatigue with high cortisol. What about those with later stages where the adrenals are burned out and can't produce enough cortisol at night such as me? For a good 2-3 months, I tried to eat keto but was never able to get into ketosis (on the test strip) as I could never sleep through the night without the symptoms of hypoglycemia (despite the glucose number was within normal range), which made my body even more stressed, and the blood sugar number, along with my belly, gradually trended up. Finally I decided to add a little brown rice of quinoa back to dinner, then I was able to sleep through the night and the blood sugar, along with my belly, gradually came down to the previous normal stage. In a sense, the keto diet brought me more stress. Could you make a video explaining this? Love all your videos!

Dr Berg, firstly thank you so much for all your videos. I’m following keto lifestyle and IF for 2 months now. I’ve had a very stressful life with close family deaths, illnesses and family/everyday issues, let’s face it, who hasn’t. I’m now 53 and premenopausal. I’ve lost over a stone and adapting well to keto. My only serious issue atm is that for the past 6 years I’ve suffered from hot and cold flushes (flashes). I get them all day (which I try to manage) and every 1-2 hrs during the night so sleep is impossible. I’ve been on HRTs for 1 1/2 years, gained weight and was extremely anxious. Tried all the supplement, none work. If I could fix this then I would get quality sleep and be able to mend my adrenal gland and other health issues. Please can you help me and all the women who suffer with this serious problem. Otherwise i can’t see how I can get passed this. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Your sense of humor is funny. This started for me around ten years ago with the change. I had my hormones tested & my stress hormone was off the chart. I started research in October ca s for ten years my doctors suggestions did not do any good. I finally found out about Keto in November & started Keto @ the end of December. Almost two months into the healthy keto lifestyle, I am starting to feel better. I have lost some weight, the inflammation has improved tremendously & the doggies is gone, but I am still tired. I find this way of eating easy & so much better! Thanks Dr. Berg! After ordering your book & watching your videos, I'm on my way!😁

I went to vaping to quit smoking, it was the easiest way that I tried. All the lung infections were/are from CDB oils, (oils should give that away, as oils don’t belong in the lungs). Check it out. I smoked for over twenty years, did pills, patch, and cold turkey. Then went to vape, only a year then off. Up to you really. Just a suggestion, have a great day.

My stress is my job...not the place or people I work at or with...but the actual work condition... I'm a chef in an outside open air cafe, in an open air cafe at an animal sanctuary and botanical garden, in the S Florida humidity and heat. No AC and it can reach 125+ degrees when the equipment is cranking. Then add to that the heat index...It's hard on my actual body...I go home and my insides feel hot, my brain feels hot..I'm literally soaking wet, my feet and legs so sore and I'm exhausted. Which stresses me out because on my days off, the thought of going outside makes me cringe...so I stress..sounds silly when others are dealing with more serious things...

@Dr. Eric Berg DC Hi, can you please tell me if it’s possible to have adrenal fatigue and still be very slim, even skinny as an ill person? My partner has a very stressful job, with irregular working hours, even nights. He has very thin skin and is super skinny (194 cm and 73kg ~160 lbs.) and can’t gain weight or muscle with any diet or exercise. Also he falls asleep after meal, sometimes even during it. He craves carbs like muesli, bread, chocolate, etc. We tried keto and low carb diet to balance insulin but nothing changes. He looks like he is in a permanent catabolic state. I don’t know where to look for the answers, is adrenal fatigue an answer for his awful condition? What blood tests should we do? We live in Europe and doctors don’t treat patients holistically. Because of your channel I discovered my insulin and thyroid problems, started keto and intermittent fasting and lost 15lbs which was impossible before. Thank you so much for all your work!

Can you kindly do a video on Women that have had the DaVinici robotic Hysterectomy after a 2 year period, and the weight gain and other issues that are associated with it? There are so many women such as myself that have this issue. In addition, to other problems associated after having this procedure such as pain, cramping etc. after 2 years of having it done. I understand that it takes about a year to really get better sometimes that is not always the case for some.

I got “ slammed “ bedridden for about 5-6 weeks. I could not stand up straight or think or talk or eat ( drank bottles of water) and had total diarrhea and was unable to go to a doctor. It started out with ice cold chills that every hair on my body stood on end, then I broke out with ( waterfall) sweat and this was cyclical every 30 minutes ( for 4-5) weeks. It felt like my adrenaline spiked rapid heartbeat and hyper focused, then broke out in sweat and repeatedly every 30 minutes. Honestly could not stand straight. When I was able to go to a doctor, blood tests were done and when completed showed very high cortisol levels. NOTHING WAS DONE. NO FOLLOW-UP! I was told to “ take it easy and drink fluids. The year before this happened ( because of behavioral changes) my hormones were tested and my testosterone levels went from 0-748. I’m a woman 56 at that time. I researched and had 6 out of 7 indicators for an Adrenal tumor. Again NOTHING WAS DONE
