When I was a little kid growing up in the 1990s, CrownHeights/Flatbush, Brooklyn, N.Y. The Jamaicans that I lived with for a while; introduced me to Irish Moss drink with nutmeg, icing glass, and it was Delicious! Then the Rastafarians taught me how to make Sea Moss gel! Gives you lots of Stamina, energy, and vitality! Miss those Jamaicans. They were really nice to me. Thank you Dr. Berg for this educating video! You're the best!

@chomarciano3337 Although there is Caribbean seamoss. I hate to break it to you but Cows aren't native to Jamaica, so they were brought there. And... there's Irish influence to take into account too; Irish seamoss, potatoes, horses, were all brought to Jamaica. ❤🇯🇲

Sea moss and sea kelp are both types of seaweed that grow underwater and have similar nutritional value. People have used sea moss on their skin and internally to help with digestion and inflammation. Sea moss contains various nutrients, including amino acids, fiber, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and phytonutrients. One of the standout features of sea moss and other types of seaweed is its high mineral content. This includes trace minerals, which are essential for our health but needed in small amounts. Trace minerals are crucial in activating enzymes and proteins that aid in various bodily functions. For example, selenium is essential for converting the inactive form of thyroid hormone (T4) to its active form (T3) and supporting immune function. Sea moss is also a great source of iodine. Iodine is crucial for thyroid health and helps regulate estrogen levels in women. Unfortunately, most land-grown produce lacks trace minerals. To get enough of these essential minerals, we need to consume foods grown near the ocean or directly from the sea itself. Some forms of seaweed, including sea moss, contain carrageenan. While this ingredient has been linked to digestive issues, it’s important to distinguish between naturally occurring carrageenan found in sea moss and the artificially added version found in processed foods. Thank you Dr Berg! 😺👍

Kelp, bladderwrack, sea moss, wakame, fucoxanthin, fucoidan, laminaria japonica, chlorella , spirulina, red algae, blue green algae - all from seaweed and algae family have targetted benefits. Personally, I like fucoidan and wakame for their strong anti cancer properties. The seaweed, microalgae, mushroom and soil based probiotics families have max health benefits. I try to take one from each family.

I was reading that in the context of detoxification and cleansing, sea moss has emerged as a potent ingredient, owing to its high dietary fiber content that aids in promoting a healthy gut, essential for the body's natural detoxification processes. Sea moss is also a great source of taurine. I didn't know taurine helps the body conjugate more bile acids! 🙌 IN OTHER WORDS, which color (defoliant) can be avoided today!? Let's do everything we can to stay gut healthy! Have a great day, y'all! 🙂

If nothing works I’ll use sea kelp. It has the iodine and a lot of times that will help balance the estrogen situation because there’s a huge relationship between estrogen and iodine. That can actually take some stress off the whole system. Here is an article for you 👉 www.drberg.com/blog/hot-flashes-and-menopause-changes

Heard of Shilajit Doctor Berg? You made a video about fulvic acid a few years ago but you didn't mention Shilajit. Shilajit is a sticky substance found primarily in the rocks of the Himalayas. It develops over centuries from the slow decomposition of plants. Shilajit is comprised of 65-80% fulvic acid and is used as ayurvedic medicine. If you've heard of it, tell us what you think. Thank-you Doctor Berg. Keep it up!!

I really appreciate your research and information, but this time I have a question. You said this carrageenan was different - In what way? Many years ago, we used carrageenan in Pharma research to cause arthritis in rats. Years latere, I noticed it was in my almond milk and ice cream. Once I bought these without carrageenan, a large lump of arthritis on my knuckle disappeared. It took about 3 months and I have before and after pics. I'm 72 and have no arthritis. (I know, I don't eat almond milk or ice cream any more - not keto)

Some forms of seaweed, including sea moss, contain carrageenan. While this ingredient has been linked to digestive issues, it’s important to distinguish between naturally occurring carrageenan found in sea moss and the artificially added version found in processed foods.
