I been dressing in medieval goth clothing for years. I have to say this is good advice for baby bats that are on a budget hay even people who been goth for years. I can say that even as a medieval goth the clothing is not cheap. A tunic typically goes for $40 dollars or over. But I do get a lot of clothing from antique stores and thrift stores. I have got tunics for $10 dollars and under at thrift stores and antique stores and I they are well made and very unique. Some are hand made so one of a kind. Amazing advice and great style.

Fantastic! I was a goth first in 1981 we were very inventive then and actually invented the whole goth look. It sprang from a cross of punk and new romantic. I love how the look has evolved over the last 40 years. Great video 🖤

When I was younger I began to have interest in dark culture, to dress as a goth and I was laughed at by olders goth simply because I was new in. Nowadays we have videos on youtube to help people find their style and buying clothes is really easier. Mentality changes, that's a good thing. There are various ways of being goth, dark, alternative... It's cool to listen to each other and have a wider view on things. Being alternative is a search for freedom not for rules! Im a thicc goth woman. I also live ina country that has winter. So for affordable goth clothing I go to thrift stores especially for boots and shoes( just wipe the insides out with alcohol on a cotton pad. Boohoo clearance online is my go to for sweaters especially cozy oversized in the plus size section. Some department stores like Walmart are also great for shoes,boots, leggings,everything in black you need really. Scissors ,safety pins,patches,brooches,old chain from broken jewellery,fabric paint are also a goths best friend in diy or upcycling items. If you can sew thats a plus for altering items even personalizing dads old black blazer. I also go to ebay to look for goth jewellery. As well as a brand called Zanzea. I have all kinds of cool asymmetrical hem sweaters,shirts some with zippers,hoods,long floor length cardigans, maxi length dresses,harnesses,belts very very cheap. Yes everything is in black because thats me. But make sure you measure yourself because clothes on ebay from china run super small. Im 5'8 and normally a US 18 20 in all my clothes. But in asian sizes im a 5xl. Im a size 10 in shoes US but in asian sizing im a 42/43. Hope this helps some of you. Oh and if you have trouble coming up with inspiration or ideas on what to pair with what. Get on pinterest. Look up casual goth outfiits or witchy fashion. You will never worry again. Oh and watch out for what materials items are made from on ebay. Some use that 100% polyester cheap halloween costume material for dresses and stuff.

That's the beauty of alt clothing! You can diy a LOT of your own stuff that you thrift or already have 😁 black dye, scissors, safety pins, pop tab chains etc etc! Do a search on KZbin for DIY alt clothing or accessories and there's a fair amount of stuff! I just found a pair of really nice black platform boots at Goodwill added some $3 pack of chains from Walmart and I made little bat wings out of stuff I got all at dollar tree then added some pop tabs and safety pins 🤟🏻 good luck ❤️

I have been dressing in frumpy old lady hippie dresses and frumpy sweaters that make me look 25 years older so don't feel bad. I am poverty stricken myself. I got rid off all of my frump wear Lol. I started thrifting and going to the dollar tag days at good will and just seeking out any black dresses I could find. I only wear black, red and white. Just look for anything sexy and stick to solids at first and prints that have skulls, fish net, sheer material, velvet, fake leather ,studed detail, Satins etc. I have recently gotten some cool pieces. It’s funny you maid this video because I’m actually am, and recently purchased an all vinyl outfit alternative look! I definitely spent some money, but I been investing this material style for a long time so it’s exciting to be able to wear it for myself for once! I recently bought PVC pants for the first time last month. I love it overall because it is fun, and different! Looking forward to my recent purchases to come in. I’m not necessarily trying to turn goth, but I’m experimenting wearing what I find very cool! I was even looking at a sheer long sleeve top to combine with this look because I do love how it works with the shiny pieces, and gives off the overall edgy badass look! This is going to be an inspired look from an ex-friend. And it’s actually something I can feel comfortable about wearing in terms of gender value since it’s unisex. I feel like Halloween is an especially fun idea dressing to this scale, but no matter the occasion it’ll be fun. It’s genuinely a satisfying feeling dressing all cool, and sexy. 👌🔥

Hello Raven! A lot of my paleness is because of my genetics, I’m naturally very pale. But mixing foundation with white face paint or white foundation will definitely help you get that pale complexion! I’d recommend the LA Girl pro coverage white foundation 🖤
