Hey Vivek, I m a Jain by religion and I have observed my nani drinking only hot water throughout her life and following the tradition of eating before sunset and only Jainfood. No wonder she had the most beautiful skin and she was very active and with no diseases. I also think relatively most of the Ayurvedic scriptures are followed by Jain traditions.

It should be just medium hot which you can drink easily and drink it like we drink tea take sips. I don't even work out because of night shifts I work. Eat full breakfast and lunch and take small walk. At evening if feel like eating something again drink hot water or you can choose green tea. And then wait for 30 minutes and eat before 7-8pm and wake a small walk and sleep. Keep in mind that don't drink caffeine 6 hours before you go to bed. Keep this think consistently within 15 day's you'll see drastic changes
