If I was in the market for one of those two.. it'd be the RS7.. it's prettier, not a huge amount less practical, and has been noted to be a tiny bit quicker (aerodynamics maybe?) - but mostly, because RS6s are everywhere - the RS7 is rarer and offers something visually different. Don't get me wrong, I love Avants (I own one) but there's something about the RS7's lines that sets it apart and makes it stand out more IMO.

Because its not better than M5 :) the M5 has the better Lap Time. Better Quarter Mile. Has a drift/2wd mode. Newer Infotainment system. Better Noise Isolation. The rs7 definitely is better built by a long shot and a literal race derived v8 whilst that bmw v8 is dog shit. Audi has WAY better suspension design and quality parts then that bmw. Really like the RS6 and RS7 but come April the increase in Vehicle Excise Duty on these two models plus a few of BMWS including the M8 are going to make them extremely costly. Looked at a few different Audis including the RS6 and RS7, nearly new. I ended up buying a brand new M3 Touring in the summer and really glad I did, I love it.

I’m curious how long and how many people it took to setup, film and produce this video. There’s a lot of great viewpoints in this. Great video. I used to take my boys to the north end of the runway at McChord and park in one of the business center’s parking lot which was right next to the base fence and close to the runway with unobstructed views. We’d watch the C-17’s and other aircraft taking off and landing all day sometimes. As a kid I remember seeing C-141’s and C-5’s flying over Tacoma all the time. You could hear a C-5 coming from a long way away. Definitely some memories I’ll never forget.

It's a beautiful car. I own an A7, so I'm partial. I would say second most beautiful after the e-trone GT. Way prettier than either of the m5s. Although the CS does seem to have better performance. Slightly faster to the quarter mile,, and about as fast from 0-60. So, at that point, it is better looks vs better performance.

I love Audi and their cars but I’d have to take a Panamera over the Audi if I could afford it. They share a chassis, drivetrain, suspension components and many other parts and are essentially the same cars at the core. But they’re styled and tweaked by Audi and Porsche to make them their own. The powers that be within VAG seem to always dictate that Audi’s cars always be just below the performance of the comparable cars from Porsche making the Porsches just a little bit better. The Panamera Turbo or Turbo S and GTS are insane sports sedans.

I've owned BWM's (currently own M8 GC Comp), Audis, and others, and the Audi's were the least fun to drive by far. Dead feeling with all the weight ahead of the front wheels. Beautiful, yes, boring to drive, yes. Only car I would even contemplate is the RS6 and I still went BMW M8.

Nice car but in germany the m5 is the best value. Way cheaper and you have better performance. Both cars are fast and im not a guy who picks a car just because it has the better 100-200kmph times and you shouldnt be either. But i have to say most rs7 have more options and the ceramic brakes. The BMW which habe options are rarely on sale. So lf you have the money go for the car you like because whats else is the point. Looks wise the rs7 is a mennace and looks very aggressive. But the interior bothers me a bit. Otherwise a car that i would love to try out. Thanks for the video

Speculating I would see the RS6 replacement being the RS7 Avant and the next RS7 and the RS7 Avant will see the V8 hybrid set up that in the new Bentley Continental GT which is pushing 780hp being used

It’s crazy such a heavy gas car getting close to my 54k model 3 performance in a 0-60 run. That’s an actual accomplishment. Of course it needs to be brake boosted to do it. But it’s hard for gas cars to do that given the power band lag while electric is like balls to wall the second you hit the pedal.

The way to look at it is the RS6 is the Avant but RS7 is the Avant-Garde choice; when you know you know! It is simplistically, Beauty and the Beast and very different to most anything out there. It's the one they all lust after when you see one in a car pub park or on the road. It would be my choice over both RS6 Avant or M5. The only missile that has its presence and looks and will better its performance is the ETron GT RS Performance

I am going to disagree. I have raced both multiple times. I have been fortunate to own a F90 M5 Competition. Audi - for whatever reason - seems to have issues with their cars tun above 100 MPH. I can viscerally feel the power fall off mid top end. They have fantastic 60 foot and 330 foot - but they seem to fall off top end. I have been fortunate multiple Audi's (S5 and RS5) and they had the same issue. I actually went from the RS5 to S5 because I didn't see the benefit as they were daily drivers. The Audi's are beautiful - but as per the performance numbers - the BMWs are the quicker platform (M340ix, M3, and M5 compared to the S5, RS5 and RS7).

I owned a w204 c63 and it was so enjoyable, then I purchased an f90 m5 comp and I can put it in rear wheel drive and have fun in wet or dry, and also switch to 4 wheel drive and still be safe which I rarely do, I test drove an rs6 avant c8 and it was fast and straight line and that’s about that height of it, a boring drive in other words. Audis have “NO” character…. The new ones anyways
