@@jrw41069 Before you try to make a person living in NJ for 62 years look stupid, you should do proper research yourself, I said, in NJ the law is 50' from a stop sign, as in the NJ State Statute, such as 39:4 138 (H) H. Within 50 feet of a "stop" sign except as provided in section 2 of P.L.2009, c.257 (C.39:4-138.6) Not what you may have found as per a quick Google search pulling un a Township ordinance such as Jersey City, allowing parking closer to a stop sign because of congested city parking, just search and you will find that even people whom have parked 30' from a stop sign in Jersey City, NJ have been issued tickets for "Parking within 50' of a stop sign", and said tickets are not issued by the local parking authority, but by the police, so please know what you are talking about before to spread false information, as I can first hand state that I know perfectly well that the law is 50', as we had the same problem at our business locations, both normal intersections, some of our customers would park within 50 feet of the stop sign, no yellow curb, no no parking within 50' sign, I would warn them, and they would argue that there is no sign or yellow curb, which I would remind them that it is in the learners manual when getting your NJ driving permit, as I did at 17. It is part of all learners permit tests in the state of NJ that it is illegal to park within 50 ft of stop signs, crosswalks in NJ. it is also illegal to park within 10 ft of a fire hydrant, all without placing signs in these areas.
