There's always a little detail to know and to look out for, thank you for doing this for all of us!

Can't wait to see it at the Vick Autosports Open House. Hope I don't miss where you park your car.

Oh it’ll be in a good spot! You won’t miss it!

I used that same exact song on my drive sim YT short. I like it! The rust in the tunnel is bad! How are you planning on repairing that? Surely it'll affect the rigidity, no?
@GarageTimeTV2 жыл бұрын
I’ll be welding in a patch panel. The replacement panel will be thicker than the factory floor so I’m not worried about strength.

I saw you put on an good looking after market fuel pressure regulator. Where did you find one to fit Fiat fuel rail.

I’ll see if I can find a link. Found it on amazon. I had to thread tape the barb fittings, but fits perfect and matched the color scheme! I made a custom bracket to hold it and the pressure is adjustable. I like the visual gauge as well.

Nice info... thank you! I have a 81 .... for the last 27yrs. lately it bogs out on me at about 33 or 34 RPMs.... do you think it's a timing issue?
@GarageTimeTV2 жыл бұрын
Could be timing related. Use a timing light to get a good reading

I messed up the thread on the driveshaft where the carrier bearing goes, do you know what size dye I would need to recut it?

I don’t off hand. I think the pitch is 1.25 but I don’t remember if it’s M10 or M8

What oil are you using? I've read on forums that people are running oil with zinc. Does your car have a catalytic converter?
@GarageTimeTV Жыл бұрын
I use Shell Rotella T4 diesel oil. 15-40. It has higher PPM of zinc for flat tappers cams like ours. If you use another that doesn’t have zinc in it, you should add it. They sell additives for this. Zinc is needed as a buffer between our cams and the tappers for the valves. It reduces wear significantly. I do not have a Cat, as I have the Vicks stainless steel exhaust system.

@@GarageTimeTV Unfortunately I live in CA and can't remove the cat. On car I can run zinc in I use Valvoline VR1. What oil would you run without zinc? Also a 1982 2000.
@GarageTimeTV Жыл бұрын
@@332ARA Any other oil would work just included the additive when you use it

@@GarageTimeTV the thing is one is not supposed to use zinc in an engine with a cat. It fouls them out
@GarageTimeTV Жыл бұрын
@@332ARA ya it can. The factory manual has some suggestions as well but I’ve found success with the shell oil.
