I am currently in Thailand for a few months and I have seen a lot of these cars on the road. It looks really good. But my favourite is the BYD Seal which I borrowed for my stays. Btw in Bangkok and also here in Krabi I have seen a lot of EVs (mainly Ora and BYD) on the road which was a surprise for me. Next month I am off to Chang Mai so I am excited to see how it is over there and then I am going to Vietnam so I am planning to borrow Vinfast. Thank you for the amazing content Bjorn. I hope you are enjoying nice weather like me because in Europe it is freaking cold😂

The S07 was the first of the EV SUVs of this size. But competition revs up. My favourite is the new BYD Sealion 7, which is so cheap here in Thailand.

I think bjorn decision in buying car disconnect with ordinary Thailand People, pretty sure 2 Million Baht car will sell a lot less in thailand vs 1 million baht car. It doesn't matter that 2 million baht car is better especially if the improvement not in something essentials.

I came to this conclusion a long time ago lol. Most people don’t use the “FSD” per se and most people don’t go 1000 km on a trip very often either. He seems to put efficiency and “FSD” above all else. The typical buyer cares how far the car can travel on a charge, the usability and the price. He keeps saying Tesla is the best and I don’t doubt him, however, he doesn’t mention that when comparing the prices that the Tesla FSD cost extra. Where as most of the other systems are included in the price of the car. This makes a huge difference when comparing the costs. Also, I hate to say it but he seems to have prejudice against the Chinese manufacturers, even tho he says he is part Chinese. Even non trivial stuff he has a problem with when it’s from a Chinese car maker, but it won’t even get mentioned when it’s from the non Chinese manufacturers.

@sho38 yes, for a long time I watch this channel, there is a bias. But I think it's okay, because his demographics for European (probably western). I think it also because from habits, or used to Norway/western logic what consider important, or correct way to drive so it's okay for me. Look at how he almost have accident, for people in my country, it will be judge that bjoen lack of skill/awareness to handle situation. You always expect other people make mistake, probably honk to give notice for car in front and pay attention of how next car behave is better way avoid accident if driving in south east Asia in general.

At least it has indicator stalks… Are there still chargers that need a reservation in Thailand, or did they stop requiring that?

@@thenerd6192 Making a reservation was always an option, not a requirement.

I absolutely adore that you still make the same experiential videos that you did back in 2013. I was looking for videos back then about what it was like to actually buy, drive and live with an EV, and every other video was (and still is) just a quick review and spec-list / checklist, and it wasn't until I found your channel that I finally decided to buy a Tesla Model S P90D. I need you to help me choose my next EV. Keep doing what you do! 🥰
