A bit of News for todays video. Details on the ULEZ in London, where on the 29th August 2023, it will be expanding quite dramatically.
So I will cover this along with a few other common questions and information on the City itself when it comes to traffic charges. Also I'll be checking to see if my Cupra would be charged if entering the ULEZ part of London.

Probably a good idea to really push hard that all non UK reg vehicles need to register their reg and confirm with evidence that they don’t need to pay ULEV. I say a lot of visiting clean vehicles 🚗 will get caught out by that. 🤑

Thank you, knew most of it but not the midnight cut off. My 2008 Leon FR is okay, but my MR2 will cost me £12.50. Am hoping with change of Mayor it may go but usually once this type of charge is in it stays in. It will probably cost me £300 or so a year but a couple of my neighbours will be paying that a month and cant afford new cars or vans, in my opinion its about money and not emissions (and i am 1 mile inside the zone).

That monthly/annual fee is crazy!! Horrible to hear 😞 especially for your neighbours! With the cost of fuel so high, plus just general cost of living, it's another burden for families that they really don't need. I do count myself fortunate that I don't have any fees up here. And yeah, the money they'll make, I just wonder what will happen with it. Cheers Rob 👍🏻

I live in the new ULEZ zone, and fortunately for me, my 2006 Leon TFSI Sport, which I've had from new is exempt. I would have been gutted to have to sell it, it's in great condition and only 81k miles.

That's good to hear! 👍🏻 yeah it'll be the heartache for a lot of car owners, who love their car, to have to consider selling it because of the additional cost 😟

I had a 2006 Sport before my FR, very nearly as good, i think i preferred the seats, loved it but was rear ended on the A12 so got a new FR and still love it as well.

I sold my cupra and get a 2004 ep3. Despite it being euro 3, it is also exempt. 😁

Ah excellent 👌🏻 good to hear. Great cars too!!🔥💪🏻 It seems diesels get the bad deal out of the emission checks. My sister in law drives a 2.0 TDI A5, works at Heathrow, which is now in the zone, and would be paying a fortune each week.

@NorthCoastWorkshop It is a shame because I have heard it is pretty new diesel cars that are getting charged aswel. I feel sorry for these people who may have just taken out a new lease or finance deal. It wasn't too long ago that the government was advising everyone to invest in a diesel. Now, they want everyone to invest in an electric car. They have been shown to be just as bad for the environment in the long run as an internal combustion engine.
