A few tips in driving in metro manila - 1. A lot of patience (traffic, Public transport stopping anywhere at anytime) 2. Literally eyes on the road and your surroundings (watch out for motorcycles aggressively cutting or pedestrians crossing anywhere) and 3. You'll never go wrong if you follow the basics. Cars, buses, jeeps and trikes may stop in front of you at anytime to load or unload, just stop and be carefull in trying to overtake and make sure you still follow road markings just to be safe bec you'll never know if someone's watching lol you will get the hang of it after a few weeks

Just a friendly advice which you can heed or not. I have a brother in law who has 20 years driving experience in the Philippines then migrated to Australia. When he went on holiday and taken the wheel he was so stressed driving in Manila. It took him several days to get used to how things are in the Philippine road. Funny how people adapt to a culture. But in hindsight it’s like riding a bike, you catch on soon or not.

Drive safe guys and please always bring your license with you. I always leave my driver's license inside my glove compartment together with my car registration (photocopied is okay, leave your original at home). You can opt to get a duplicate license in LTO as well so you can leave one inside your car and one you bring it with you in your wallet. Nice choice for your family vehicle, Toyota Innova is the ultimate family vehicle with safety and comfort in mind. Enjoy travelling long distances with it.

Hi Kito Fam! You can actually go to SM Aura within the BGC area, shorter route, and no need to go outside BGC...or no need to go to Kalayaan-C5. Take the route to 8th st then 34th st and then turn right to 11th st then mckinley parkway...it's more safer as well than C5.

This was a fun vlog. 1st u have a vlogging cam with you and u both speak English with an accent that's why you were given a pass. Having no license while driving is a major violation and carries with it a very huge fine, impounding fees, a mandatory seminar at the LTO office. You got lucky with that enforcer as he might've gotten starstrucked & let u pass. He would've earned a large commission for that apprehension plus your real violation. Impt tips: 1. License card shoold always be in the car with you TOGETHER with the OR and CR of the car's registration. Never leave your driver's license in the car. 2. You can traverse on the lanes you thought were a bit small. Those lanes just got smaller because they drew a lane for the bikers. 3. Be wary of solid lines. These are the favorite kind of violations they apprehend. 4. When at a stoplight and uou want to make a right turn, always watch out for the sign "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED SIGNAL". If you don't see this sign, you can make a right turn even if the signal light is red. 5. Speed limits. EDSA is pegged at 60kph. BGC, there's none even if you see there is. Nobody follows it. Skyway is strict. SLEX and NLEX there is but no one follows, SCTEX and TPLEX are strict.

Its organized chaos...at first, I used to rant and rave, but I realized its less stressful to just go with the flow OR in cases of SEVERE TRAFGIC JAMs, I watch KZbin, lol!! Driving here is a cobtinuous lessong and learning on DEFENSIVE DRIVING. Always use your signal iights too. Oh, and if you can avoid it, do not drive during rush hours. Also PLAN your routes ahead.

The narrow road you saw at the most right side is actually bike lane. Since we dnt have the widest roads, the government just have to sneak in a narrow lane for the bikers. We really dont have a driver friendly road out here in our country. So take extra careful. We have lots of crazy drivers out there. But Im sure ull get used to it. You two are funny. I have one rule while driving, do not assume. Example, do not assume that the cars around you sees you, do not assume that the vehicle in front of you will not stop, do not assume that the cars on your left or right will not swerve, etc. I'm super alert when I'm not familiar with the place/road but once you got familiar, it will be easy peasy. I also don't like driving during rush hour (8am to 10am and 5pm to 9pm), so timing is also one of the key to driving in manila.

If you live near Uptown Mall and you want to go to SM Aura you can go there without going to Kalayaan Ave. and C5 Road you just need to drive along BGC it's much faster and easier . Stay safe Kito Fam 😊❤️
