You have reached your destination sometimes leave you a block away. It would be good if it announces either on the right or left like my other GPS as many industrial areas with cluster buildings at times don't have street numbers (building numbers) until you're inside. I'm in the US BTW. This was 5 year old technology, no wonder TomTom is pushing it with deep discount as of late Nov 2022. Nice upload with dual view, very clean and informative. Had no idea UK has so many circle turns.

Thanks for this useful video. I'm currently debating whether it's worth buying a TomTom because I have a sat nav built in to my car and although it looks and sounds different it doesn't really make any difference. The best voice on the TomTom was Ozzy Osborne which was really funny but I doubt the DVSA would use it.

Hi good video. How would you change from cross the roundabout to round the roundabout? Cheers.

Google Maps' lack of speed limit indicator, and Waze's lack of lane assist, has forced me to invest in a SatNav. The TomTom START 52 looks like an affordable alternative.

I just bought one yesterday. Because my old TomTom died. I had not time to learn to use it. Because I had customer goods on board. It took me roughly 15 min to setup my first route. Without knowing the manual at all. It went for 99 Pounds as a black friday deal. Normally it would be more expensive.

Does anyone else find this voice oddly seductive?

hi there, can you tell me how you managed to get a tomtom incorporated into the video demo ? it's really cool btw =) Thanks In advance Kevin

Hi Kevin, It's not easy! First you need a second camera focussed on the sat nav. I built a custom fixture to hold the sat nav and hold the camera a fixed distance from it. Then you need editing software to allow you to combine the videos into one (I use Adobe Premiere) Then you need to synchronise the two videos so it makes sense! Thanks for your comment :)

I have absolutely no idea why DVSA decided to use this tedious voice for the driving test. It is totally monotonous, soporific and unclear ( first and third sound too alike). As others have pointed out, the computer generated SERENA is far superior.

It's not the most enthusiastic voice is it!

The computer generated voice - SERENA - is much better - see my other video.
