I haver cervical vertigo in my neck that causes dizziness and walking off balance. As I was watch a recent Documentary on KZbin about the late Whitney Houston, a commercial ad came on about the Truefit posture corrector. I was about to order this but my inner soul told me to do research before wasting my money in these hard economic times with high food and gas prices. I am glad I came across this video and other videos saying, these posture corrector devices are useless.

They dont hold you in that position. You can still easily slouch.... Its just more comfortable to pull your shoulders back while wearing it. Its a trainer. Meaning you use you own muscles.

I would recommend posture corrective exercises for this. Consider the wall angel which you can find on my channel. Also consider thoracic spine mobility stretches.

Please advise whether to use a posture corrector for this, I want to minimize suffering from Kyphosis or anything like that in future

Thanks. Great video. Question. I was thinking of getting a certification in posture specialist. My question is do you think those certifications in posture analysis and correction are worth it and if so is there one that our recommend. I am a running coach and find that most running injuries are related to imbalances in the kinetic chain that are being pushed past their limits. Appreciated you time.

Something like the postural restoration institute could be good. Depends if you really want the certification or just the information. There is so much free info online, you could get a lot of education for free.

I recommend purchasing a correction belt wear it for a couple weeks if you like it keep it, if not send it back.

that depends on what your goals are. If you need to wear support to protect an injury, it's a good idea. If you're trying to improve your posture, I do not recommend using one.

Hi, I’m really worried about my neck because when I tilt my head back and touch my neck I can feel my spine slightly poking out and the rest of my neck going the other way, if you know what I mean. Is this normal?
