Depression and mood are strongly associated with the microbiome/bacterial balance in our gut. Remove the toxic build up in the gut from processed foods and animal products and the beneficial bacteria will recolonize and consequently through the gut/brain connection a persons mental state will likely improve.

Dr. Doug Lisle is the best. Everybody should also check out his weekly Podcast "Beat Your Genes" with NateG on www.blogtalkradio.com/beatyourgenes as well as his Internet Page: esteemdynamics.org/. Such amazing and important information nowhere else to be found and wonderfully presented as only Doug Lisle does. I just love that man :-)

Thank you so much for the podcast mention. I love Dr. Lisle also and I didn't know about that podcast since it didn't come up in the past when I did a search. :)

can you talk about candida in one of these videos, and i mean for ppl that already eat healthy vegan diets, no extra sugar or anything. what would be recommended (especially since you're saying to not eat coconut oil, which is often recommended) thank you, have you touched on getting epa and dha on a vegan diet? are chia seeds enough to do it? i do not eat nuts or seeds other than some chia in my oats.

I have a question, does anyone know if putting oil on your skin (for moisturizing purposes at night) can actually absorb into your skin and turn into fat?
@simplymovingon7 жыл бұрын
Thankyou Jessica D :) I was wondering about that too. I began using oil for moisturizing my face and body a few month ago.. and now Im like.. is this just adding fat to my biggest organ?

and can you address mct oil, why is mercola all about it, and why does he speak so highly of dietary ketosis, lots of fat in the diet? it's very confusing. and at some point I'd like to know your thought on flouride. dr greger says it fine to gave in your tap water, mercola of course thinks it's going to kill us all, so what the heck. and we can't all afford to get reverse osmosis systems...ok thank you!

He is making it way too complicated folks. I hit a weight plateau on a perfect low fat whole food plant based diet and could not lose any more weight for 8 months. The only true way to achieve an ideal weight (along with a low fat whole food plant based diet of course!) is through intermittent or periodic fasting. Fasting has incredible health benefits and allows you to regain control of your appetite, cravings and diet choices faster than any other method.
@HAL-dm1eh7 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking about adding that to my regime. How frequently do you fast? I was thinking once a week while I'm still losing weight. Nothing drastic.
@Chris-gm4hk7 жыл бұрын
I like to fast whenever I'm not working. Basically 2-3 days a week or whenever I have a day off. Also, I do not eat when I get home from work either. Just a big breakfast and something at work if I feel I'm starting to slow down a little. Humans are actually adapted to do this quite regularly. My weight is coming off wicked fast now. Warning: Do not exercise while fasting! Exercise will raise your cortisol levels too high which will actually send signals to the body to hold onto fat and possibly lead to binge eating. Basically, eat as much as you want when you need to perform your best. And when your not doing anything important or just everyday routine stuff, don't eat. You'll never have to count calories again. You see, it's not drastic at all because you will only be eating when you need to. Oh yeah, I almost forgot you need to be drinking a lot of water while fasting because your body will be detoxifying and going into ketosis. Good luck

Kale Blender should not have to fast if you monitor portions based on daily activity

You sound like the classic type A personality. But if you are always performing, when do you have time to heal, repair and become stronger? Our bodies have evolved to activate most of the healing mechanisms when there is actually no digestive processes going on. What you are talking about is not ideal from a health standpoint. If you could turn off your sleeping mechanisms so that you never became tired, would you do it? Even if it deteriorated your health and rapidly accelerated the aging process?
