My Notes: 1. Keep a Journal (to recognise the problem) 2. Avoid Sugar and Processed Food 3. Eat 70% fuller 4. Don't eat when you're the hungriest. 5. Take pictures daily for 30days (21days to make it a habit and 9days to regularise) 6. Figure out what you do each week for a month and channelize them to meet your goals. 7. Be very conscious about what I eat, how I eat and whom you eat it with. 8. If you got to lose some weight and battle obesity then you got to do it as a FAMILY because it's not easy to do it alone. 9. Stay disciplined.

Hello Dr Ram. This is one of the most informative and well researched videos on obesity I have ever seen. I have struggled with weight issues for a long time, but with your simple,practical tips it seems that there is surely a solution. What you say at the end is absolutely true. I liked the way you explain... in a most gentle, calm, interesting and intelligent way. Most of the videos on weight loss or obesity are overly dramatized, focusing only on the aesthetics or beauty, than gaining health. Keep those videos coming. On a lighter note , would like to complement you that you look exceedingly handsome and smart in the videos( I hope Madhuriji does not mind a little complement by a true admirer of yours!!)

I started loosing weight from Oct 1 2020. first few months it was very hard cause i stopped eating rice & Sugar. I lost about 9kgs weight but now i still follow same diet But my weight is at 66 kgs. Its showly coming down. I eat bulgar wheat and stopped SUGAR. 1 meal a day walking BUT NOW I STILL WOULD LIKE to loose more weight. Any suggestions ????? From TN USA.

Dear Dr. Nene. Thanks for these videos. They are very educative and always a pleasure to watch. I have a question. Can active kids/teenagers eat what they want? Is it true that kids burn all the calories that they eat? I ask because I am a mother of a teenager and I wouldn’t want my child to go my route. As a kid, I was skinny with a healthy weight. But later I gained weight, which I am now trying to loose. What I am trying to understand is that is it later in life that we gain weight or is it that as kids we start accumulating weight? Very informative. My husband and me follow high protein and low carb diet. It helps a lot reducing and maintaining healthy weight for both of us. My husband is diabetic and he is able to manage to sugar level. I have pcod issue, it helped me also. When you understood food pattern, you eat well and everything without compromising health.

I blame the packet foods , high fructose corn syrup , sedentary lifestyle , refined sugar,stress and 24 × 7 availability of food for increasing waist circumstances and obesity.....Also food addictions

Newly diagnosed obese but not being hard on myself atall. When I say diagnosed, I got clinically diagnosed by my doctor. Turned out I have subclinical hypothyroidism and IBS as well. Started my health journey last month in complete medical supervision. If you're struggling much love and strength ❤️

Here is another formula for BMI using pounds and inches. BMI = 703 X (weight in pounds)/(height in inches)X(height in inches) Do the height in inches squared first.

If you have got more weight, you will have to exercise a lot. But, the best option is, everybody need some meals which I will eat a lot but weight doesn't increase and eventually I will get my energy or calories. The advantage of this food is, I won't to do exercises...😊. Dr. Shreeram Nene sir's commanding was must be followed able. Good lecture.❤❤❤❤❤

I want to go off of medicine when my doctor agrees. hopefully I will reach my goals. I tossed all canned foods and sugary salty snacks. My stomach reducing significantly. I cutdown on restaurant foods as well because they may not use quality ingredients.

BMI is fading now..its more of total body composition.. A person can have normal BMI yet excessive viseral fat or elevated body fat percentage..

Hallo Dr.Nene thanks for all your Videos. My BMI is 22.2. I look normal or slim. The problem is my tummy pops out sometimes in a day and I feel embarrased. Early morning its flat I feel so good. We eat balanced and healthy mixed european, indian, italian food usually. And we are not so sedandary. How is this timely changes in tummy called? How do I come over this?

If possible dr can you talk about FROZEN SHOULDER as I’m suffering for the past 8/9 months....also some pros and cons about steroid injection given for the. F.S. ...also would it last lifetime...will I be able to move my shoulder normally.....as I’m feeling very depressed at the moment not being about to even comb my hair.....THANK YOU 🙏

Yes, one year is a long time :( Are you seeing a physiotherapist? Exercising at home is great, but it was good to have a physiotherapist push me. It can be a very painful to try and increase the shoulder's range of motion and at home, I would just give up. I also felt like the frozen shoulder came at a point when I felt stuck in life, with work pressures. I was almost prediabetic despite being in my twenties. So I also worked on adopting a healthier lifestyle in general and it helped. Frozen should was literally a wake up call! I don't know what your lifestyle is like but maybe my experience can help. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

@@gaurinawathe6856 ....yes I’ve seen my physiotherapist only once as we’re still into a lockdown...and she’s shown me some exercises and I’m doing them regularly and I also do yoga and I I’ve changed my lifestyle from the last 3 years eating healthy walking..going on a treadmill and also doing yoga....and from what I’ve read , frozen shoulder sometimes last for over a year....thank you once again for your kind words...have a blessed day 🙏

So Dr Nene what was is one supposed to take away from this video?? It actually is echoing what people hear all day long, portion control, bmi, management about your diet, exercise, industrialized junk food, journaling, snack through out the day blah blah and blah? and why would any one want to frequently eat that to keep your digestive system working all day? can you elaborate why you recommend that? how about talking about hypothyroidism? because of which people are metabolically ill, how about talking about getting the right kind of nutrients from the diet? the right kind of water to drink, address stress that's causing most people to get sick and being in that chronic fight or flight mode, how about talking about the hormones that get messed up and cause weigh gain, so u mean a person with hormonal irregularities should add on more stress of excercise? or they wont loose weight? I feel that would be detrimental to health...That's does NOT ADD UP! And what about constipation IBS and allergies, consumption of over precribed antibiotics? I mean we expect the right kind of information that will be of benefit not just preach preach ;)

There are so many theories on how to space meals through the day. By default as a family Dinner happens to be the heaviest meal for families as it is the one meal where everyone is back from their work/classes/school and it becomes the most leisurely meal. What is it that you would recommend for all age groups that is healthy and practical too.

BMI IS Mass divided by the ht in Meter Sq . I think you changed the numerator and denominator.

Hi Dr. These days after watching so many videos and also read many articles about healthy food, i got confused among which one to choose.. Please define us healthy food as in which food is actually healthy to eat in our daily routine... If possible please cover for thyroid patients..

Thanks you to highlighting obesity problem!! Please explain what people do to achieve their target of weight loss!! What type of foods (low glycemic index food or low fat especially trans fat) and what type of workout is essential not only for weight loss but to avoid Diabetes, heart disease metabolic syndrome.
