Thanks Dr. Pal and Dr. Rashmi for this podcast. Dr. Pal - this is my personal thought. Most of the things discussed in this interview is on high end treatments for maintaining your skin (like the Botox etc). Its insightful for people you can afford or opt for it, but people living in non metro cities or small cities or who cant afford such treatments - it could have been also good in the podcast to discuss on how to maintain your skin organically at home and with simple affordable treatments and also for people who do not want any procedure or go organic. Thank you.

Our understanding was that UV plays the key role in converting the protein (or some chemical) beneath our skin into Vit-D. If thats true, then will not the sunscreen, that prevents UV, prevent Vit-D preparation by our internal system. Already vit-d deficiency is so rampant in India esp with ladies that more than 70% older age group ladies need vit-d suppliment. Need more clarity on this one.
@khushh.eeeeee3 ай бұрын
Yes it's true. But sunscreen doesn't prevent 100% of UV rays. It depends on the SPF which is maximum 60-70 . So we need not to worry. (Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong)
@adityar33723 ай бұрын
Its well explained in the video itself. And prescribing vit d for elder women is not for vitd deficiency, its to improve absorption of calcium which prevents or reduces osteoporosis.
@ha-pb6gs3 ай бұрын
@@khushh.eeeeee Don't you think that, when 60-70percent is prevented, it will eventually to 70 percent deficiency of vitamin-d. And that's a lot, when people already get exposed to less sunlight.
@dr.shadmbbsdphmasco3 ай бұрын
Sunscreens won't prevent 100% of the UV exposure and I would like to tell u something even though UV rays converts the 7 Dehydro cholestrol into Cholecalciferol via photolysis and dark skinned people have more melanin and it acts as a barrier or blockage for this reaction from occurring. So wearing sunscreens is must

Because as a doctor it is so stressful to hear patients always correcting you and judging you with some half knowledge from google. Even some patients are defiant to any advice from doctor if things are not moving as they expected. You are only visiting one Dr. but the Dr have to face dozens of such patients daily. It’s a mental investment also.

Her practice in Hyderabad, Reva has incompetent doctors whose job is to prescribe you truckloads of expensive products which you have to buy from their clinic shop, and sometimes they charge more than the MRP. I was prescribed a 1500 RS facewash, and the doctor behaved as if nothing else would work except THAT facewash. So yes ma'am sometime we do have to do our "research", the word you hate so much so that doctors like you don't fool us out of our money and time.

@@ajaydalaya2195ACcording to Indian lifestyle and mindset premature aging will be common. Don't get offended by saying this. Everyone and every family is different. According to my experience as I used to go door to door to mainland Indian families.. They love to stay crowded members, they don't have privacy, they aren't even interested in living independently and living privacy . But if you can practice whatever u want in ur family and if they don't interfere in ur persnal space then it's okay. But where I was born and raised my environment was also crowded family members and couldn't have any privacy space example whole family eat together breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea break, bed time also same. Like when I getup in morning I personally want to drink warm water 1 liter in Empty stomach and after an hour breakfast, but my family everyone likes was same they drink tea in empty stomach, and lunch the heaviest meal of the day by 8am cuz school, offices start before 10 right, and gardener, farmer have to leave d house as early as possible as they have to walk 10km to the filed and they need full stomach due to their hard work.. And I personally want to have heaviestt meal during lunch time 12-1pm, My family diner time Is 530 pm cuz the church is start by 6pm.. And I love fasting about 16,18,24hrs but I couldn't do that cuz when we live together with family the elder people will expect us to do this work and that work . so I couldn't do any work during fasting.. During my fast i just laydown on bed. Watching movie, or singing, praying, I don't want to do any work. But with jointly family I've no authority to live whatever way I want. That's why during teenager I left my family and live independently ,work hard to feed myself as I've no one penny financial support from family so whatever I do I'm d responsible for myself. And I'm so happy and live peacefully alone. Now I can do whatever I want in my life, I'm almost 50 still single n happily living independent. Love is stronger from long distance than living together according to my mindset. But most people can't stay alone and they need people to surround them 247.. In crowded family members if one person eat apple the whole family also need to share. So it's not possible to share when we are on diets like how can u share almond, walnuts, cashew nuts, those fruits and greens.. If we Share we can't do diets. If I buy for 1 months stoke it will be over by a couple of days with Shirley family. In crowded family can't have own bedroom n bathroom which I like to keep super hygienic with no noises.. Can't getup by 2pm . Cuz breakfast, lunch time is start from 6am. But if I live alone I can getup at 2,5pm or sleep whole day in off day or during fasting cleansing treatment even if it 3 4, days, can play heavy metal in loudest volume which family will not like particular music and volume..
