In this video we showcase some PB Swiss scores from DRPD and then delve into the sinister laboratory where we create another frankensteined hybrid...this one is very simple and can revert back to stock with no damage to either tool. Viewer Discretion is Advised.
I filmed this back around Labor Day (2023) and still haven't made a "Short" for it. Let me know if you want to see me try to condense the glorious debauchery into those time constraints.
Also let me know if you plan to try this for yourself. While it was 100% my intention to use the handle for a ratchet, I had no idea it would just slide right in...sometimes we win!

Nice...I need to remember to order a 3/8" end...they were out of stock and then I kind of forgot about it. A double ended 1/4" x 3/8" Square Drive would be killer.

🤣. Nice! I thought about that when I saw the PB Swiss handles for burrs. You should have gotten the flex head 1/4“ from Stahlwille. Has the length from the factory. ;)

The handles are really reasonably priced, so as long as it stays that way you can play around...I wasn't planning on a drop-in fit, but will take it. The flex head has been added at some point since this video (this was around Labor Day...I want to say the flex head came in around Black Friday).

Was it the hex keys on sale? I've always wanted them, mainly due to the knurling, but have so many I haven't been able to justify it. Hope you like them, can't argue going with the best price.

Nope, they aren't. Ironically, the comfort grip one was Tool of the Day for $62 on Friday. I've bought probably 95%+ of all my stuff on sales. The Stahlwille 1/4" and 3/8" are really smooth. Seasonal, Weekly, or Tool of the Day makes scoring Stahlwille stuff much easier on the wallet. I do wonder, if they made them, what a dedicated PB Swiss ratchet would run...

@@lonestarmopars Ha! Good question, but I'd love to see ratchets and pliers from PB Swiss. I rarely use ratchets, but I'd buy a PB Swiss one, even at ~$100. Pliers I have 30 or so Knipex, but I'd still buy PB Swiss. Yeah, I have a disease.

I LOVE the knurling on the shanks of those interchangeable drivers. I got the set, PB 8215.IND, for my mobile/mini tool kit, and just love the knurling. I very often spin the driver from the shank to run a screw down before using the handle to tighten it, or spin from the shank after loosening it. I wish all their drivers had knurled shanks, in fact I wish ALL screwdrivers had knurled shanks.

Nice score! I agree, I'm not sure why more manufacturers don't opt for knurling along the shanks...at least on some tier of drivers in their catalog. Vessel is about the only one I can think of that regularly uses it, but even then it is limited to their teal handled Megadora.
