Quick question from a relative newb: why is the narrator consistently setting the hook "upstream"? Is that intentional for some reason? I've been under the impression that setting by moving the rod tip downstream was less likely to just pull the fly out of the fish's mouth.

What weight rod are u using can anyone help me out I’m loling to fish for smaller specs and also 20inch to 27 inch steel heads what would be the best weight rod and size reel?
@WildFlyProductions5 жыл бұрын
jonah urban we’re using 4wt rods in this. Unfortunately you’re not gonna find a rod that will be suitable for brookies and steelhead. Your best bet would be a 2-4 weight for brookies (specks) and an 8 eight or Spey rod for steelhead.
@jonahurban26495 жыл бұрын
WildFlyProductions guess I’ll look at a 3w for specs what length would u recommend ? And would a 5/6 reel be the best option to? Thanks for everything I appreciate it
