To any of the people who don't play Tekken and want some insight: Any time DSP is complaining about "Spammed moves" "spammed strings" "Moar spam", he's just bringing his delusional street fighter logic into Tekken and it doesn't work. When you do a move in tekken, the faster hit wins the draw, and characters have continuations off of strings to help them get a combo off of counterhit. So pressing those strings and then making you press buttons is part of the plan. DSP is literally falling right into their trap because he could be ducking highs, parrying lows, blocking, sidestepping, or picking a better attack to counter the one he's dealing with, but he never learns, and he never will with his useless mindset.

Not only are strings set uo to deliberately trick you, i think a BIG aspect of tekken to keep in mind is that attacks are slooow...some advice to learn when starting out is to look for 10 frame, and 15 frame punishers. And if youve never played tekken before, that sounds fucking insane... Im sure thats part of why everything feels safe and feels like spam to him. Not justifying anything, just something he honestly SHOULD know. Im sure a lot of stuff his opponents are doing arent safe at all, hes just refusing to do what you mentioned, he could be ducking highs or parrying lows, sidestepping. He could be doing his own high/low mixups, he could be doing his own fucking evasive attacks
