Love the details and the Counters for the Counters. Always great videos. I noticed that you use that downward angle a lot with your Knee Cuts and from personal experience I find it to be highly effective. It negatses my opponent from re-guarding and clears it so I can proceed to Side Mount.

What a gem for the knee cut pass! I've always struggled with people having a strong cross collar and threatening the loop choke when I go for knee cut. Any advice?? 🤔😎👊

thanks for the great video! question: what is your take on squatting on the non-dlr leg (with a low base and parallel feet) before going into the kneecut? do you like to do that as well or do you prefer going straight to the kneecut as shown in the video?
@DubiousDom7 жыл бұрын
BonzaiSG there are so many options to initiating the kneecut, it really boils down to the situation. I love going into a headquarters style position first, but you are susceptible to elevation (which isn't a terrible thing, it forces action). I play both of these positions as starting points for the kneecut.

thanks dom, much appreciated! success to you and please keep up the great work.

how can i counter knee shield when doing this? keeping grip on lapel to prevent the knee from coming in? thanks, great video learn alot from your stuff
@DubiousDom7 жыл бұрын
It's all about getting your body in front of the top leg. Go to 1:26 in the video. See how I lean WAYYYY forward? I'm trying to get my body in front of the top leg, so I can use my back to push it out of the way. Another common mistake is when you first enter the kneecut position. You have your knee on the ground, but you don't lean into their body, leaving a lot of space for the kneeshield. I hope this helps! This is not how I do my knee cut pass - just to show you there is no "right" way to do something. You just do the technique that works for you. Thanks for the technique.
@DubiousDom4 жыл бұрын
I don't do my kneecut pass exactly like this anymore either. We all evolve our own style! I'm just showing one piece you can choose to use or not. Ossss thanks for watching
