I’ve noticed I now tend to shrug my shoulders and hold my hands up a lot. I stole that from Phil. It literally can mean so many things without saying a word. Very useful gesture. I also was a C+ student and use his phrase frequently.

My mother made some of the best dressing ever and it's very similiar to yours. She liked sage, so she used a bit more. Instead of white bread, she used Pepperidge Farm bread crumbs since they had some seasoning on them. We had no hunters in our family, so she purchased either a hen or a duck. She took the hen/duck off the bone and put it in the dressing. She also added a lb. or so of pork sausage and a bit of boiled eggs, livers, and gizzards which were also put in the giblet gravy. Everything else was the same as yours. One of the last times she prepared dressing, I was surprised how much she used her hands in the dressing to blend it. That dressing was massaged and loved on! Thanks so much for sharing your dressing recipe. Have a wonderful Christmas!

p.s.: I'll have to look back to see how many eggs. Then I can cut the recipe back for a smaller pot. I am may be envious of that pot. I have a basic black roasting pot. It should work, but not that big. ;)

Him cooking, makes me Think back to my good ole Tennessee days. Where all the family would gather for Thanksgiving, and we'd laugh and play while Granny and momma would make the dressing and other family members would be cooking other foods. Alot of my elderly family gone now..They lived not far from Dolly Partons house. My momma knew Dolly when she was just a little girl. Your good people Mr. Phil and family..God Bless you

Everyone love the good Lord with all of your heart. I feel that He is coming soon. This month is not the month of merchandise. It's about love. It's about taking time out of a busy day to help your neighbor, to stop and say hello to an elderly person, to teach our young generation about Jesus. There are so many gifts you can give. But they dont come from a store. They come from the warmness of your heart, the place where Jesus lives, if you will invite Him in..The Gift is Love The Gift is Jesus. Love to you all and Have a Merry Christmas
