Yep, I became an ordained priest in the Church of the Latter Day Dude about three years ago. Maybe it was four years ago, really don't remember. What I do remember is how it's changed my life. It hasn't.... that's the whole point. Take it easy, and may the Dude be with you.

I’ve been ordained for about seven years now. I have Reverend (Rev) on all my bank cards. I actually had to show the bank, they made a copy of, my certificate from The Church of Latter-Day Dude, to prove I was in fact a Priest.

Don't worry. Dudeism could never become like other organized religions. As soon as we did that, it would be dead. We'd kill the green-with-rust coloration goose. Also, it's an open-source religion. Very organic, bottom up. We invite criticism like this and look for input on how to steer it. As the Dudely Lama I'm more of a custodian than a leader. Lama in Tibetan just means teacher. I'm more of a lazy substitute teacher. Also, I don't live in the mountains but a jungly Thai floodplain.

To anyone who sees this as ridiculous or silly, a lot of these ideas that are discussed are almost identical to Daoism and Zen Buddhism. Realizing that stress comes from within, so chilling out the within, not worrying about how people perceive you, going with the flow of life, etc

If you think about it. Really think about it. A conscious effort to take it easy mind set is alot less stressfull then how society is heading. But I think the key is here to have money so work less and live more simpler. Very hard to do.

for years now ive been waking up and making a white russian in the mornings instead of coffee.... except i call them caucasians... and i think its better than coffee... it gives you a jolt of caffeine and makes you feel just awesome... im not an alcoholic or anything but in the mornings i drink a caucasian...
