I met him years ago,and I have to say that he is truly one of the most down to earth people that you will meet. Besides being handsome,he set there and talked to me for awhile. I was actually on my honeymoon when I met him and told him that plus I told him that when I was I little how he was my hero. He asked,if he could buy me and new husband dinner? We were actually at the NASCAR Cafe I Nashville,which not sure if it's there anymore. Anyway,he told the waiter,that he was going to buy our dinner and for us to get whatever we wanted. It was su h an incredible day. We even got front row seat that night at a concert he was doing as well. I still love h today

@@lunworks I was watching it on Forces TV who have recently stopped showing it. I got Forces TV on Sky TV satellite channel. You should try You tube. There might be some episodes on it. Forces TV is for the military but is open on some networKs such as SKY TV. I hope they start Dukes of Hazard again shortly.

I still remember the day I came home from school my mom was so excited about the dukes of Hazzard it had just been on the air about 2 or 3 weeks so it took that long for us to hear about it in the mountains of Kentucky but from the first time that me and my family watched the Dukes of Hazzard we was hooked I don't think we missed a night it was on and if we did we still got to see it because back then was like now there was lots of reruns

It’s so stupid for anyone to come to the conclusion that the rebel flag on the car made it such a racist show, preventing them from airing the show on tv for eternity. If that’s the only issue, there is technology out there that can erase the flag on the car from existence. There’s no other reason for preventing other generations to see how a show that projected wholesome family life in small town USA with moral values mixed in with some country humor with morality winning out at the end of every show. There hasn’t been anything on tv since and will probably never be again.

I got FIRE TV and they have a channel where they play The Dukes Of Hazard 24 hours seven days a week. I watch it every night before going to bed. This show is one of the reason I stayed home on Saturday night. Primetime television was at it's fiery best then.

Not one person was killed on the show? On the show you are right. But sadly, a person did die in making one of the episodes (though not sure which one). He was one of the stunt drivers for the show & I saw a video sometime ago where they said a stunt driver was killed while performing one of the stunts. Sad really, but it did in fact happen. Just saying. Great show though. Miss seeing it on TV. RIP to those on the show we loss.

I know it was just a light hearted family show, but the thing that stuck with me all these years is the government couldn't catch him, but when the boys were sentenced, Jesse Duke made the deal that he would "give his word" to quit running 'shine if they were released in his care. And this man's honor was so legendary that this simple promise was accepted as fact even within the legal system. In the modern age of "no cash bail" that's nothing, but at the time it would have been more extraordinary than flying Mopars..
