I admire Eric for being so genuine in all of his conversations ❤️ @ 49:15 i think its the first time Eric has ever mentioned the actual reason of going Indie music way .Its honestly heartbreaking but I feel it was best risk and for sure it had its own complexity but I am very sure by 2025 Eric will be great multi hyphenated artist who is greatly admired (us fans still do 😊 ) by GP . He has also dipped into voice and acting ...for sure he has a very bright future !!! Good luck and best wishes Eric !!!

There is a very real difference between appreciation and interest in Korean culture vs obsession with Korean culture (which can manifest as very unhealthy behavior), so I respect the fact that Dumb and Eric want the media and general public to just take the time to explore a bit more of each niche involved in all those different buckets related to entertainment and Korean artists and come to them with that respect. I love K dramas and enjoy the music of several K pop artists, but I am very aware that those 2 niche areas don't represent ALL Korean culture.

Found Dumbfoundead when there was an AZN channel and he was in a rap battle. Years later, as a mature in years fan, I met him at a meet and greet at Hawaiian Brian’s. Years later, on one of his world tours, I met Eric Nam at a meet and greet at The Republik. Appreciate their candor. Just learned that Eric’s cd was added to the National Museum of American History. 💕

I feel like kpop is where jazz was in the early 1940's before it separated into bebop and swing. I wouldn't be surprised if an underground korean music movement is forming with creative musicians who feel stiffled by the commercialization of kpop that is happening on a global level now. Time will tell if this idea is true.

28:10 FYI, the term "wife beaters" came from the late 70s - 80s movies where you would see a guy abusing his girl and he usually was only wearing a tank top. It became a common theme in film and so therefore if you saw a man wearing one we would joking refer to those movie characters portrayed.
