I started smiling as soon as you stated what everyone would need to do the job😊. I learned this from one of the top 5 in California back in the late 80s. He was well-known to be able to correct incredible paint jobs he did that were damaged by the owners.

Better grip to hold it and maybe it wont cut me so deep every time the blade flips on me lolol, taken many a cut doing this same thing and once again taught me something new with the taping of each end of the blade ...gouged a few in my day ill be trying this next time, and out of curiosity have you tried the putty over technique?
@thetriggerman954
@thetriggerman954 Жыл бұрын
I've only seen that putty thing since I've been in KZbin. I don't know any painters personally that do it. I've been doing this blade trick for 26 years. Once you get the hang of it you won't try any of those other things 🫡

Hey trigger lately been getting runs in all my jobs man help me out brother how do I cure this curse of clear coat runs, either I run the cars or to dry hahah
@thetriggerman954
@thetriggerman954 3 ай бұрын
Stop thinking about it. Once you get a few runs then every job you start to get nervous and think about getting a run. Just try not to think about it and just have fun with the job. Clear your mind. Or if other shit is in your mind and your going into the booth pissed off it'll happen. I get runs often if I'm pissed off.

How long does that need to dry before you use this trick
@thetriggerman954
@thetriggerman954 Жыл бұрын
Depends on the product you use. But I'd say over night. I don't have a heated booth so I have to wait over night. If you have a bake cycle possibly once you bake it let it cool and might be ok. As long as you can NOT press your fingernail into the run it should be good to go. Thanks for watching.
