Hello does the tank need to fit snuggly on the pump or can it be smaller ?

It fits very snug. There is an o-ring on the pump that seals the tank to the pump housing.

Imy reservoir is leaking except its on there with metal clamp instead of bolts. Can't read the brand but will need to do some research. Thanks

My trailer can't dump when loaded. What's the reason

Well, it could be a few things. overloaded, no hydraulic pressure, ram is damaged, dead battery. I would need more information to really be of help.
