Durafly Excalibur - Repair Re-maiden

G'day All, if you've be following along with my channel, you'll know that I had an unscheduled landing on my Durafly Excalibur at its first trip to the slope. Finally I have pulled myself and the plane together and today was the day to test out the repairs.....

ah of course, good of you pick my subtle use of cinematic trickery in an almost Kubrick-esk moment referencing the tail first tragedy that befell the Excalibur on that fateful day. Although on reflection it could also be attributed to a lazy video editor...

Thanks, you are absolutely correct. I really loved how this plane flies. Not so much that it is a fast plane (it is quick, but not stupid fast), but so so so crisp. And power of dives are so cool. I'm looking forward to a strong southerly so I can hit the beach!

Excalibur has been pulled back from the sand! Great to see another V-tail back in the air. But you like living dangerously Michael. 2:26 had me holding my breath to see how low you were going to go. :-| That flyby swoosh is just the bees knees.

It flew as good as new. It does look a bit second hand, but hey you can't really tell when its in the air. haha

Howdy Michael, YAY she's flying again. #HappyDays! And yea they like to come in hot, maybe some mixing in the Tx to move those ailerons down a bit as flaps would help?

Yeah cheers Matt I think that (as usual) I was a little over enthusiastic bringing it in after the long dive. I was still carrying a lot of speed. I actually have a slider on the left of the Taranis set up to act as flapperons and spoilerons, but I think I was so excited to get it back in the air I didn't even think to use them. Maybe tomorrow! Flying day!

There is a bunch down here. They cover it with dirt on some ovals for footy season and clean it off for cricket
