I used this trick ( from old school mechanic)when trying to narrow down where a sound is coming from. Take a long screwdriver place it on suspected noise location. Put your ear up to the other end. Sounds funny ,it works.

If you guys just pulled vacuum on coolant system..... then started the truck up right after, then there is no coolant within the engine thus your loud excessive while you are hearing is from the water pump from no coolant and lubrication. Coolant drastically silences the water pump however if you guys added coolant after pulling vacuum and prior to initial start up then my first guess would be the power steering pump. I paused the video on 7:02 to comment before yall revealed what the culprit was but 2nd guess would be water pump, 3rd the crankshaft pulley, 4th guess would be turbo & all of the intercooler piping hot & cold sides and then 5th guess would be the air intake for a clog within the piping somewhere, seen lots of videos of shop rags blue shop paper towels, shirts n all sorts of stuff to keep moisture & random debris out of the intake piping that someone forgot to remove prior to start up .... shit happens lol as long as the turbo doesn't suck up whatever is blocking/clogging the intake piping then its an easy fix! 😬

They have a great walmart out there and grear pawn shops, Great Steak and shakes joint we do not have in Pennsylvania. Steves Marine and boat storage close by, music shop up north to. Rein Tree Inn great place to sack out at to. Glad it was just the water pump. I wonder if you were to seperate it from the housing (the removed water pump) if you would see rubbed away material?

I have a 2007, 2500 hd 4x4, 6.6 duromax that looks exactly like that one. Well, I did put a custom flat bed on it. Went into limp mode 6 years ago and has been sitting in my back yard ever since. Didn't want to spend $2300 for a new dpf, so I just bought another truck. 253k on it, and I never had to go into the engine. I've actually been thinking about parting with her.

I mean I know some that have 1 million miles. Just change the oil , don’t tune the piss out of them and don’t floor it from every stop light , and they will run a long time. Hell you can even drive em hard just don’t go beat in the tar out of it
