I love this charger, it's soo easy to use, I charge my batteries with it all the time, and he did miss one port, its the one that can charge your reciever pack! It's hard to notice though so I can understand. Worth what ever amount of money it is, it's got all the bells and whistles!

This is the charger I upgraded to. The best charger on the market IMO! Super easy to program and use. I paid around $80, for mine.

@johnnste1 your options there, if your aussie, is to buy here from Australia, or if you buy from the US, which lots of aussie rc'rs do, use the 12v option with a car battery, or a 12v power supply. You can also buy US to Aus power converters to run things from Jaycar, and even power cords that run on Aus 240v and power it down to US standard.

I've taken one of these apart and they have a laptop power brick inside, and one more note it only charges at 5 amps on ac and up to 8 amps on dc

Same as poster below! But I've just noticed that the charge capacity readout seems to exceed the rated mAh of the LiPo battery I'm charging, while I'm charging it. Once I noticed this I stopped the charge manually since I didn't want it to overcharge. I have all the settings set exactly as instructed. Anyone know what's going on here? Should I just let it go until it shuts off automatically? I'm not that keen on having an exploded battery if possible..

I have a issue with mine. I bought it brand new and I charge a 2 cell 2100 mah batterie that I use in my 1/16 e revo. And it charged the pack fine and I balanced it ever 5 runs. And than it sat for maybe a month our two and I charged it and ran it like 4 times than I tried balancing it and now every time I try to charge my batterie it will charge for 3 seconds and say its complete

Ok, noob question here. I bought the onyx 235 to charge some LiPo heli batteries. I also have 8 AA batteris for my controller, and currently I am using Rayovac "Ready-to-use" rechargeables. They are NiMH and 1400mAh. Does anybody know how I might go about charging these (hopefully all 8 at the same time) with this charger? I have the rayovac supplied charger but I was thinking this might do a better job. If anyone can help, thanks!

Btw I have the traxxas stampede 4x4 and the mini e revo vxl. BOTH of them have their own consistent probs. The stampede, the cheap crap axles that break ON THE STOCK BATT. Omg my friend put a 2s in his... guess what the axle broke in a matter of seconds. It was brand stinkin new. The mini e revo has differential probs and again I use stock batts. My sc10 2wd has had brushless upgrades and it has hit 78 mph and I have had it for 3 years and the only thing I have broken on it was a suspension arm.

Guys listen... Traxxas products really are... lets just say bad. So ya the onyx 235 is better... PLUS the traxxas EZ peak only has 6amp charge rate... this one has 7. Ok most of you probably dont need 7 amps but i just got a maxamps 2s 6500mah race edition lipo. Thats 6.5 amps. And this charger also has more features so it is definitely better. Also to answer another question this one costs 90 bucks. Yep thats a good price considering how good this charger is.
