From a writing standpoint, I have a few gripes with the final confrontation here. Ignoring the smaller things like how this isn't a true pacifist run when you're at level 7, Sans turned the leaf seriously fast. When I imagined a mercy Dusttale fight, I imagined it being almost impossible, trying to spare over and over again for an extremely long time, but I suppose you can't have that in a story where chara forces you to attack. Idk, it was just a bit disappointing to me. The attacks were all very.. Generic, idk why Sans had Asgore's trident, or why Chara had the power of the human souls, but none of the attacks really seemed that difficult. Regular sans' attacks are much harder to dodge than this. And I realize that having done this alone is fucking incredible, and that coding super interesting and difficult attacks is not something to take lightly, but I'm just saying how it made me feel. From a game design standpoint it's amazing that someone was able to do this, from a story/viewing standpoint it's an okay game. Idk, just wanted to get my feelings out on it. Seriously though, this must've taken an insane amount of effort, and amount I would never be able to produce. So I'm in awe about that. I just wanted to give some (hopefully) constructive criticism. and if it didn't come across like that I'm truly sorry. Still an enjoyable watch!

And the video description doesn’t state that this is a true pacifist. True Pacifist in Dusttale is impossible since Chara has more control than even the player does. You already saw the first mercy attempt, Chara made it pretty clear that neither the player or Frisk have any control over what’s going to happen to these basic monsters. Sans had Asgores Trident because Sans killed him. We can assume that Sans killed plenty of monsters off screen including Undyne, so he probably took any weapons he could find. Remember, Sans was preparing as much as possible to kill the human. As for Chara using the power of the other 6 souls… What? At no point do the other 6 souls make any appearance during her fight, and I’m saying her because Chara generally seems more feminine in terms of facial features whereas Frisk seems more masculine. But no, Chara doesn’t use the other 6 souls. She uses their weapons, but it’s Chara so it’s fairly obvious why it makes sense. As for Sans attacks, Sans is far harder when you follow through with the genocide since Sans stops toying around and the fight lasts much longer. You seriously should’ve watched both routes before making that part of your comment because it blatantly makes no sense.

For those who are unaware... Yes, this is a true pacifist run You are forced to kill all the monsters you encounter or Chara will do it for you Hitting Chara at the end is not technically a hit, as you have to to beat the game (for example sans throws you against walls, which doesn't affect no hit runs) This is as pacifist as it gets in dusttale 👍

When I think about it, a pacifist run is the cruelest option to choose in this game. Sans had to go through hell and sacrifice his sanity in order to stop you, just to be denied of his efforts.

*you start a normal genocide run, as usual. *you notice you don’t encounter flowey, with dust in his place. *toriel comes, as usual, but is met by a phone call. *you decide not to listen because it’s probably not important, right? *this is different. *finally. *you follow up the path, met by a whimsun, try to spare it, but chara won’t let you. *you start doing a basic run, killing all the monsters growing strong, until... **nobody came.* *you only killed a few monsters, that’s weird. *You run upon toriel’s house, hoping to kill her. But sans comes in and stabs her with the fake knife. *you grab it, in your hands, where it belongs. *you go to snowdin forest, where you suspiciously DONT meet sans waiting to do something. *you see him running to the annoying dog, so you decide to follow him. *After a short amount of time, you finally hit him, but... *he has health now. *he ran away, that coward! *you come up on snowdin town, see in your box there is some snow pieces... probably sans. *you see in the distance sans killing his own brother. He’s obviously gone mad. *he laughs after killing papyrus, DEFINITELY gone mad to the point of getting exp for himself. *you go to waterfall, hoping he hasn’t gotten too far into his killing spree. *undyne doesn’t try to kill you, because your not sans. *thats fine. *all the puzzles are complete, but... *sans! *hes talking to himself again, but it seems like he’s saying “pap” a lot so you think he’s talking to papyrus. *you come to that conclusion. *the music box in the statue is glitching out, but you hear blasters. *hes killing undyne! *you come up and steal the kill, wether you want too or not. Either way, chara will kill. *he goes past you, and starts to run away. *still not ready, huh? *you come to hotland, hoping for more victims. *you go into alphys’ lab only to see markings only possible by sans. *he wants to kill alphys too! *you go into the true lab, hoping that’s where he is. *you meet alphys, panicking. *the amalgamates are trying to protect something. You don’t know what, though. *you try. But fail to kill them. *they don’t care. *you see alphys getting murdered by sans, trying to get the D.T. Extractor working. Sans kills him. *he sees you, and teleports away. *you look at the tapes, but their different. It’s sans telling jokes to toriel. *makes you wanna go back, doesn’t it? **chara won’t let you.* *you go out of the true lab, hoping to find sans. *you find muffet already dead, so you place the flower you found in the ruins on her. Sans was gonna snap eventually sooner or later. He remembers the resets ,327 to be exact and he was stuck in a endless loop where he was forced to relive the same events and things over and over . Imagine being in his place, watching everyone you know and love die by someone who has the power to control your world and no matter what you do you are powerless to stop them. That's not even the worst part - you remember the routes of your timeline and all you can do is hope that it doesn't repeat again . And you know that it won't matter as it will be all reset . It must be really awful for Sans to live like this . Stuck in a mess he can't get out of or change it permanently
