Well what a heck of a few guitarists to strum with? I mean it doesn't get any better. Dwight sang in his Corvette in a video. It shows this guy's true projection. He is loud and proud. Accurate. Just a piece of your hurt. Always there when you need him. Veterans For Dwight.

I agree… he has deep roots in honky tonk country vibes.

i like my fair share of both but i’d like to believe that any artist who appreciate music loves things equally. even if one of his arts succeeds more than the other.

Dwight was mentored by Glen Campbell. Yoakum also had a huge following by the punk rockers! Post can cover any genre.

Yeah Glen knew talent. He got Alan Jackson started as well

I thought Dwight was mentored by Buck Owens, I know he covered Witchita tall lineman and worked some with Glen some, I never knew punk rockers to follow him since he is Cow Punk, of course I could be wrong, I’ve followed Dwight over 30 years, I remember when he did the album “Hillbilly Deluxe” they told him leave off hillbilly, glad he didn’t listen. He’s still 🔥 at 67, I remember the great chemistry and dynamic he has with Pete Anderson, Eddie Perez and now Eugene Edwards, Dwight is a renaissance man. If you haven’t ever seen him you should, he still does a tribute to Merle Haggard

How awesome is this? This couldn't be any better from Dwight, to Posty, a killer guitar solo, and an accordion doing a song by the Hag. Is the full version available somewhere so I can keep hitting replay every 3 minutes instead of every 1 minutes. Thanks.

Dwight Yoakam got me into country music many years ago. One of the first concerts I ever went to. Where I grew up I was the weird one for listening to him instead of what all the other kids were into. Looking back on it, it feels good to have been right. Also, How is it that Post Malone is more country than the majority of country stars out right now? I should say the popular radio country, there are some great artists, you just have to find them.

I was at the recording studio at Capitol Records as Merle’s guest. I witnessed the performance live in June of 1966. Glen Campbell sang harmonies with Bonnie and James Burton played the lead guitar. It’s in my book, “ Merle Haggard was a friend of mine “.
