It is probably the worst multiplayer mode I've ever seen. So one player controls Bubsy like normal, and the other can shoot atoms. When the 2nd player holds square a they can aim their shot, but when they do that, they control the camera and can freely move it away from Bubsy. Also if you shoot Bubsy the players swap control, the goal is to get more points as Bubsy.

Hey DXFan619, if you want I can give you a few interesting tips on the gameplay of this "game". If you hold L1 and then use the D-Pad, you'll actually be able to move the camera, but you can only move it while standing still. Also, if one of those green guys is next to you ready to fire at you, press circle to duck and hold circle to stay ducking and they'll never hit you unless you stop ducking. When standing still, hold R1 and then tap up to speed things up a bit. If you collect 50 atoms, you get an extra hit point. If you collect 100 atoms, you get an extra life. If you collect 150, you go to a bonus level after you complete the level you're currently on. 200 means extra time in bonus round. 69 means bubsy sucks big hairy balls and 666 means satan comes and kills bubsy in the most satisfying way possible. Last thing is when you see 4 or more atoms in a straight line, use the first atom to fire straight so when the atom collects all the atoms that are in front of your line of fire, you'll earn extra hit points and lives. One last thing is when you fire an atom and the camera goes back to bubsy, just jump.

The thing about the glide button is that it always is the triangle button but the problem is that Bubsy always does a flip when he jumps and when he does that, then he can't glide. So that means you have to jump while holding forward or forward and another direction and then hold triangle which is terrible because after one second he jumps, he does a flip and you can't glide until you land and then try again.
