Lost old films are definitely the saddest kind of lost media because they’re the most easily destroyed and studios had the worst preservation standards back then.

I would kill to see All American Massacre, it sounds so fun and looks like it uses more grimy grindhouse filmmaking techniques and it’s super fascinating

New Dylan Berg is always a good day… sad its not the Newgrounds one as ive been waiting with baited breath. But I will be patient, hopefully thatll be the next one after this. I shouldnt complain though cos this channel already puts out so much quality content at a quite frankly alarming rate. Idk how you do it Mr Owl! Take care and keep it up! :)))

I love these icebergs from you, and I have especially loved the horror-themed content you’ve done, like the creepypasta iceberg. Excited to dive into this one!

Lost horror related media scratches such a unique itch for me. Lost media on its own already had an eerie aura to it with the idea thay something can just slip through the cracks and have no trace of its existence, so combining that with horror is a recipe for some pretty wild searches haha

Nothing better than lost horror media to begin the Thanksgiving holiday.

I actually saw the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared pilot because someone live streamed it from the festival! I gotta go search and see if it's available through an obscure video or something!

Oh thank god your mind also went to a very different place with the IT entry 😭I was so worried. I never thought I’d be relieved to hear a description of an alien clown monster eating a baby but here I am

The Shining’s Deleted scenes ironically now have their own sense of mystique given that they were cut in favor of making the movie more ambiguous. Especially the epilogue, while it does leave on a somewhat happy note that Danny and Wendy were gonna be okay, I can’t be feel like this still has that sense of dread since Jacks body was never found and it probably would’ve cut to the 1921 New Years photograph afterwards.

oh this is such a cool topic to do an iceberg on! old black and white horror films that have parts or are lost completely have always been of intrigue to me

Man I would LOVE to see All American Massacre get released. I’m still mad we’re never getting that Cabin In The Woods L4D campaign. Hopefully some folks on the steam workshop will attempt to recreate what that may have been like. Lots of fascinating stuff in this iceberg I didn’t know about before too. I really hope you continue the slasher movie iceberg some day!

You forgot to mention also that Danny devito's Penguin design in Tim Burton's Batman Returns was also based on Edward Burke in LAM Which isn't 100 a horror movie, but it's definitely horror like... and it's just a really weird fact... (Also As much as I hate the modern/ 1980s MPAA for being strict and hating horror... They're at least better than the Hayes code...)

6:20 the only reason i know about the golem is because the band fantômas (a thrash metal supergroup started by mike patton) covered the theme of a different golem film (but that film was directed by the same guy as the 1915 film). idk i just wanted an opportunity to mention mike patton lol

Speaking of Mike, he voiced a lot of the zombies in the Left 4 Dead games. That man can do INSANE things with this voice

9:50 There are more photos, not just one, of 'The Golem and the Dancing Girl' at IMDB (Internet Movie Database), including one of actor Rochus Gliese as the Golem instead of Paul Wegener. There's also many images from the first Golem film from 1914/15 including several new screenshots showing the antique dealer bringing the Golem to life and using him as a servant.

Huh can I just say that the NES Hellraiser had so many plottwists I wasn't expecting... 1- HELLRAISER of all things having a video game on the NES... I mean yeah Friday and Nightmare were also R rated horror movies but... still I mean those were Slashers... 2- Color Dreams who also published Bible Games under the name Wisdom Tree were behind this ('Jesus Wept' indeed) 3- This was officially Licensed (I'm not sure if it was by Clive Barker or the people who owned the rights from the movie, which I guess could mean they only had the rights to the book not the film...) 4- This was Before Hellraiser became a franchise that was completely shitty... 5- The Game actually seems like they would have tried putting passion into it... given they basically had to invent a new technology just to get it to work...
