We need more videos on dynamics Mr Hanson! You pulled me through statics and I appreciate that. Got the best grade I've ever had in an engineering class, but this dynamics professor is not very good and your videos would really help me and my classmates. Thank you!

If you ever feel like refreshing your knowledge of dynamics then I can also strongly recommend Hibbeler's book on the subject, "Engineering Mechanics - Dynamics". That book is dope, it has a lot of example problems with detailed solution steps and is very easy to use. It even has a bunch of "Fundamental Problems" after most sections, which are kind of like warmups for the ordinary Problems. It's basically like Hibbeler's "Engineering Mechanics - Statics" book. It also has "Review Problems" for a few chapters at a time, and those problems are just as demanding as exam problems.

Hello sir I have two question 1- How can I find v-t graph from a -s ? in other way if given to me a-s graph and ask me to find v-t graph how can I doing that ? 2- How can I find s-t graph from v -s ? in other way if given to me v-s graph and ask me to find s-t graph how can I doing that ?

How come after the 10 s, We can't integrate the -2 m/s^2 to get our velocity function?
@playboicartigenome5973
@playboicartigenome5973 Жыл бұрын
you actually can do that but u would need to add a constant C when u finish integrating. Then, solve for C by pluggin in the values of v and t at that point (so v=100m/s and t=10s). After substituting those in you get C = 120 which makes the same equation that he had for v which is v = -2t + 120

I need the video for calculating the Area Can someone hand me the link?
@markjames4068
@markjames4068 5 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't the total area of the velocity graph be 2500? 500 for the left triangle and 2000 for the left considering t goes from 10s to 50s? That would be 0.5(40)(100)=2000? Then add the left side for 2500 m total?
@karimfaizy766
@karimfaizy766 5 жыл бұрын
Bro, The base for 2nd traingle is 50 so u assume it 40. its 50. If it become that much so the total area become 3000.

can't we find the time by substituting V by zero? since it is going in to rest
@moda4511
@moda4511 5 жыл бұрын
No because you have 2 different motions of movement " acceleration and then deceleration" so you do the graphs and deduce equations for each.

I just need to know why 2nd graph come to zero but 3rd didnt?
@tallalalshaalan
@tallalalshaalan 5 жыл бұрын
The 2nd graph represents the velocity, and the problem is asking you to find the time when the car comes to rest after the deceleration. That's why the 2nd graph ends at zero, because the car is stopping. The 3rd graph is showing the displacement of the car, which doesn't make sense to come back to zero since the car is not going backward, it's just slowing down.

how did he got 50 sec ???
@theonlybonsu
@theonlybonsu 3 жыл бұрын
the second area has to be 100 also, since the car is coming back to 0m/s (rest). So knowing the area is 100; you divide that by -2m/s^2 (deceleration) and you get 50 sec (time taken to stop).
