You're the only teacher that makes engineering classes fun. Thank you for all the videos!

I know I'm 6 years late but I have to say he makes it so understandable and easy to follow, and my first Language isn't even English haha

I'm in Dynamics right now, it sucks this is your second to last video but I appreciate all of the hard work Dr. Hanson! You got me through solids and statics.

I am so grateful for all your hardwork Dr. Hanson, I wish professors in my university put in half as much effort in teaching! You have helped many many students like me! Thank you.

Couldn't Find any better mechanics professor than You! I got a good grade on statics (thanks to your lessons) And I hope You complete recording rest of dynamics lessons by the end of the semester. By all means, Thank You.

I love your videos, but I was wondering when the rest of these would be released? Currently taking dynamics

Same here, I can't find anyone else on KZbin that matches his caliber of teaching.

Professor Hanson, thank you for a classic selection and analysis of Projection Motion in Mechanics Two. This problem is well known in Physics.

when breaking down velocity into x and y components, shouldnt there be cos and sin there?
@malakihmeidan98398 ай бұрын
since there was no angle given you cant do it with sin and cos, the other way to do it is with similar triangles (how he did it). If there was a theta given you would use sin and cos
@talalm42464 жыл бұрын
Why didn’t we use Vy=V0+act where final velocity in Y direction is zero and we solve for time

Does your calculator use voice recognition cause how did you input those quadratic figures lol
@johnnyc24735 жыл бұрын
What if your not given the angle. Your only given the height of the building, the horizontal acceleration, and gravity?

What textbook do you use sir? Or would you recommend?

I think he uses R.C Hibbler's Engineering Mechanics Dynamics

Isn't air resistance also causing acceleration on the projectile? It has X and Y components.

yes, you would ignore friction

The last problem I believe you forgot the second term of the distance equation (1/2*at^2). The answer should be 448.57m the value in the video is almost a mile and a half.

you sent this a while ago, but because wind is ignored the Vertical accelleration is zero.

Hi Jeff hey I'm confused why do you plot 150 as the initial position to find t and why you didn't to find the final position instead you use zero? 🤔
