you do not think the center of gravity is too high. I think to weigh down the bridges or to double the rear wheels to gain width. what do you think ?
@AMPROEngineering5 жыл бұрын
I think that is a valid concern. I use this as a trail truck so it isn't an issue but as a crawler it could compromise the handling. Weighing down the axles is a very good idea as long as you upgrade them with metal gears.
@Scale-Crawler-tamiya-Xray-RC5 жыл бұрын
@@AMPROEngineeringthank you for the advice, I think rather broaden the bridges by putting waves. I also thought of putting some weight in the wheels, but I'm afraid of forcing too much on the transmission. I like what you do, you are not afraid to try anything. keep on going

I have the axle link mounts(?) and links in the mail. I completely forgot about the shocks.... Something else to figure out. Thanks for going over all of this in detail.
@AMPROEngineering6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know...still a problem here for me.
@speeddemon20086 жыл бұрын
I think I might have figured out what is going on. Buying only the official WPL branded parts, if you buy the combo kit of the axle truss and links, they give you extra cups to run the stock shocks (lower mounts). I bought the axle truss and links separately, and it would appear in the pictures that they provide extra link ends to use on the bottom of the stock shocks... I guess Ill see how that goes when I get the parts.
@speeddemon20086 жыл бұрын
I ended up buying some SSD m3 rod ends. That fixed it for me. But then I forgot about the steering when I aluminum knuckles. I just used the same SSD rod ends and made my own rod to make the drag link.

I was trying to figure out how to send you a pic through here. I have taken 24"X12" 3/4 Aluminum plate and used a cnc to drill 1/8th holes in it in a grid.
