Today at Speedy's Garage I'm testing E85 to start using it as an alternate fuel in Go Man Go the Hellcat Challenger. The goal is to be able to run a flex fuel setup so I can easily move between 93 octane pump gas and E85.

Another great video. The delivery of your message is excellent. I use 500ml safety squeeze plastic bottles when testing E content. I feel this allows me to control both the distilled water and E measurements. I’m certain you know most liquid molecules “bond” to the sides of the measuring beaker creating a concave rather than a flat liquid line. I use the bottom of the meniscus as my guide. I know that may sound far too type A but I believe it creates a more accurate result in testing each time. I’m looking forward to your summer time results.

Great Video again, This is extremely important to test Pump E85. We can have the best tuner in the world and it just takes Low Ethanol content to hurt the motor! Great results in seeing The 3 test results! Appreciate the Video👍😎

You'll be fine with your set up running E85, but you should consider a Boost a pump, or similar for running E85... Have fun and good luck with it...

Forgot to mention that I've been running E85 in my Coyote engine for 3 years and my Redeye for over a year now, with no problems to date. I have a Flex tune and straight E85 tunes for both, but usually just run the E85 tunes in my vehicles, unless I'm going out of town...

It came up with code P018C. Fuel pressure sensor/ fuel rail.. And when I check the forums , they say the fuel rail needs replacing(and the pressure sensor is built into that)

Question for you speedy. So I noticed there is a curved surface from the liquids ( the actual term is called (meniscus). silly question but do you take your measurement from the curve hitting the fill lines ?

Yes, I reference the curved area but honestly it's probably a .000001% difference but hey OCD is a blessing and a curse LOL.

Not sure, it's just what the pump labels say. I've never measured it below E72 though.

I am very anti-E85. Most people fail to properly upgrade their entire fuel system to make it E85 compatible. They get it tuned for e85 and drive it until the fuel injector(s) get clogged. Then they replace the fuel injectors and sell it to someone else who will encounter the same problem.

Modern fuel systems shouldn't be having any issues with ethanol. The ID1000 injectors are stainless and specifically designed for use with E85 among other fuels. The nice thing about flex fuel is I can run a few gallons of 93 through it every once in a while if I want as well to clean things out if need be.

@@SpeedysGarage this is a common belief. However, I have seen ethanol breakdown the rubber hose inside of a gas tank and in rubber parts of the gas line leaving the gas tank going up the the fuel rail. There have been quite a few fuel injectors stuck open in MOPAR engines lately due to chunks of rubber from the gas line clogging them open. Fuel injectors can also get partially clogged leading to a lean condition and meltdown pistons.
