You two are so impressive with being so skilled with tackling the mechanicals on that bus! I guess that comes with taking on a bus conversion versus the easy route of the RV motor coach buying public.

Really great to see the inner workings of the cruiser! Thankfully everything is replaceable and done correctly! As with detailing its the preparation that gives a good result. I hope you're well and warm!

Great to have meet you both at MTE! I did get a chance to see the bus in the parking lot on my morning walk to the stores across the road. Color is a bit darker than I expected but looks great! Florida heat is a nice change to the Quebec chill while you worked on that engine.

I did not know that you could inspect the bull gear on a S60 like that. Good to know.

great video! just noticing that in like the first minute of the video when you're draining the coolant, your tailpipe could use some love as well. dont want you to melt your nice bumpers.

I bet you're happy to miss the cold weather in Quebec ! Your recumbent trikes wouldn't work so well there.

Wow so much knowledge . I have been following u guys for a while and I recently acquired my 2002 MCI d4500 . Have started conversion and basically owerwelmed with the work . But I love doing this . I also live in Canada Quebec Montreal . Obviously I have to go have the bus licence as a RV here. But not sure what is required for the inspection . I have gotten different information . If you have any info on this can u pls share . Also regarding mechanical what do to advise to do first . Where do you get parts . This is a dream for me but I do have a limited budget . Tks very much Clyde

For inspection get a hold of the SAAQ. For parts there’s MCI in Verdun or Carrosserie Preferance in Terrebonne.

Did you replace the thermostats when apart?

No, we did them last year.

Nuby question: What did you remove from the original bus to now need less alternator and how did you calculate what the new size should be?
@LacroixCruiser
@LacroixCruiser Жыл бұрын
The factory HVAC, all the passenger lights and fans. The only electrical the bus needs to drive now is lights, ECM, TCM, and dash fan.

It looks like the block heater is installed in a pipe outside the block. Does the heat get past the thermostat and into the block ?
@LacroixCruiser
@LacroixCruiser Жыл бұрын
It’s installed near the oil cooler. The heat transfers to the block
