Eafengrow EF 125 Knife ($40) Review - 14C28N - Budget Fixed Blade Knife

My review of the Eafengrow ( s71.co/3zYd29o ) EF-125 fixed blade knife ( s71.co/3ePWCIw ). This knife features a 5.5 inch blade of 14C28N Sandvik steel. You convinced me to gamble $40 and try one. I took it out today and used it to cross grain baton through a very dense, seasoned piece of frozen, deadfall oak. I purposely put a lot of lateral stress on the edge. Not only did it hold up with no major damage, but the edge maintained its sharpness. I did some normal batoning with it as well with no issues other than the handle screws loosening. I was out with a well known custom knife smith and even he was impressed.

Bought one from Amazon, nice knife, but the sheath needs work. Which I am already working on. So it rides lower and can swivel out of the way when I sit down. But I do love the knife. Great shape of the blade. Now I just have to use it. But its winter where I am. So in a couple of months when I can get out. I will test it. But I like the knife. So stay sharp.

You were 100% correct when you told me I'll like this knife! I do!!! Got out my diamond rods and just a little touch up then strop... Hair POPPIN' SHARP! Put a couple of holster straps on it and scout carry it! Bro, I also ordered the EF 128! 6 inch blade, DC-53 steel (60-62 HRC) full tang , G-10 & Kydex for 60 bucks! Razor sharp out of the box! Check it out... One good turn deserves another!!!

Good little budget knife and I like the blade shape , I think it would make a very good defense implement if needed for some reason and as you showed it does many blade task very well and sharpens really easy ,the sheath and tek lock is a big plus ✨💰✨

I bought one from Amazon two months ago for $39 after tax. Thick blade stock , great sheath , and an excellent stainless blade. The only one I have better than this knife is a cold steel survivalist. I love moraknivs as well. I’m thinking about snapping the tip and reprofiling it.

What a nice piece of steel. It's almost like a cross between a bush craft and EDC (for the larger person, lol). Handle/scales make for a good positive grip, and lots of steel in the full tang...at a crazy great price...and, my favorite blade shape. Easy to sharpen...good for juggin'. Was there a hard rind on that port belly? Sliced thru it like butta. Thanks for the review!

I, too, like the blade shape. It reminds me of my old Gerber Big Rock, which is no longer made, but this EF-125 has better steel! Yes, the pork bellies have tough pig skin, but it was no match for my sharpening :]

I like it for 40 bucks. A lot of these knife makers are crazy charging 300 to 400 dollars. 14c28n is a great steel.
