With the aluminium body of the fan in contact with the ESC heat sink - it’s going to increase the surface area and act like a bigger heat sink.

That fan is an excellent choice and will do the trick. The trick I use is to place a piece of screen mesh to keep out the small rocks that breaks the fan blades.

Keep at it Earl 💪💪💪 I think aluminum case helps cause it wont flex and let the fan blades strike the fan cover. I clip off the leading edge of the blades to get a bit more space, seems to be working so far. Also chassis mesh covers help keep rocks out which also will ruin fans.

I stopped running fans when I bash hard. But one of my rigs I use a gimble mount cushion on all mounting screws for cushion. #Easttactics has a great video on how to. Ya know

Great video as always Earl....... I've always had better luck with the aluminum bodied fans ...... But all are definitely not created equal..... I've had pretty good luck with the power hobby fans ...... Keep em coming..... 💪👑

Powerhobby plastic and aluminum body fans are tough!!! The blades seem to be better plastic, maybe I'm wrong.

Can’t wait to see how that fan holds up. I’ve been looking at the aluminum cases thinking they won’t hold up, but I need something

Hey Earl! I like the aluminum fan body's ones seem to work Good! I would look at putting some dust mesh over the ESC area and motor too just the middle section front to back to keep the debri out of them as much as possible the way your Ripping them Bro!🤔😉📹💯✔️👋👋👋👋🤣😂🤣

Aluminum fan body will help suck some heat faster from the esc. Fan body should sit and come in contact with the esc cooling fins. I noticed on some aluminum body fans the blades are not angled as much as all plastic fans. I use nylon house screening in rolls. Cut a square peice to go over the fan and use the screws to secure it to the fan. Garentee no broken blades.

Earl- There’s got to be a good motor cooling fan solution that works long term. My son and I both have a Sledge and love them but go through motor cooling fans quite a bit. It’s our thought that cushioning between the fan housing and the motor mount would do a lot for longevity with hard bashing. Why doesn’t someone engineer something good/robust? Enjoy your videos!

Yea see u got it by the end😁👍🏻🤘🏻 great stuff Earl! I like the aluminum body fan myself. Not sure why I go through so many plastic ones but the rocket aluminum ones work well for me 🤙🏻

EARL….just curious why you’re not opting for a game changer fan….🇺🇸👈🚘

I’ve used the factory replacement gcrc fan that’s a plug n play and it broke as well ?and for a basher putting a 12v fan with a regulator is not worth the risk of damage
suprpass 35mm rocket fans will do the trick especially if you cover with wire mesh aswell ....been with 1 for over 8 months with big jumps ...cant go wrong😊 7.4v they run 18000rpm👌🏼

You would think that by now someone would have came up with an un breakable fan …or much more rigged one … if you get a chance possibly put the new losi motor bike to the test on the bike track??? 🙏🙏🙏

Go back with GCRC , but I understand price wise it's easier to run factory fans if you bash hard . And fans seem to break alot .

Would it be ok to run two of these in the stock fan shroud, and put one in the esc? Just wanting to know if three of them would be too hard on the max6

I don't think the TEAM, (Whatever) fans will hold up. I'm flipping my Hoss, and when my fan goes, I'm getting a stock fan. To me, it's cheaper and moves air better. $25.00 for fancy don't mean nada if it moves no air.

I just got a max 6 g2 and the fan will come on when it starts up but then shuts off. Is the fan supposed to run all the time?
@earlmoorhead555511 ай бұрын
No only runs when hot the start up checks fan so you can see issues before you run ( broken blades or not working) most all factory esc do it this way
