The part about the radiation disappearing isn't complete BS. He mentioned earlier that the ozone was pock marked with holes like cheese, so he was likely under an area still intact. The ozone layer part actually could be explained with science. A solar flare could cause holes in the ozone layer but leave parts of it intact still. Areas that receive more sun exposure would have more damage to the ozone layer (causing it to disappear in spots) and those that are more equidistant would have less damage. The ozone layer can also heal. Solar flares don't continue on forever either. Most likely once the sun settled down parts of the ozone layer healed up in areas with less damage.
@johncampbell9448
@johncampbell9448 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that or the fact that humanity is damaging the ozone layer. The decreased amounts of humans would then cause it go return. However, it seems as though the ozone layer in the movie was weakened, then hit by a solar flare or such. It then slowly repaired itself.

 If temperature on Earth rise to 65C permafrost would melt, releasing hella lot of methane, which in turn would affect global warming more than humanity did through whole it history, and this will most likely release even more methane from the seawater. When percentage of methane in atmosfere reach 16 it become flamable. So it is a one way ticket.

From what I just looked up, the ozone layer helps to increase the temperature on earth. If it was depleted, it should cool down, not heat up. Everything said that the ozone layer helps to trap heat by absorbing solar UV radiation and infrared radiation from the earth. Both of these help increase temperatures. And yes, the ozone layer can repair itself. I remember when the hole in the ozone layer was the next doomsday problem. Don't ever hear about that anymore, despite it still existing.

This movie was brilliant. It shows the love a person can have for their animal. Tom Hanks brought such emotion to this movie. Every little detail was designed to make you feel, even the blood on the suit. I just wanna add three things. Jeff didn't immediately choose his name. He had several ideas and it was several scenes in before Finch allowed him to choose Jeff. Dewie was more than just a little robot. Finch loved him. In his anger he explicitly told Jeff that Dewie died because he had led him directly into an obvious trap. Also, the flashback to wear Finch saw the girl and her mother killed, Goodyear was discovered in the little girl's bag, not just some random bag.

It is not entirely bullshit tho, but why this is a thing in/near San Fransisco is beyond my comprehension My guess from what little i know about atmosphere is that you would probably find the ozone layer to recover at Earths median line first? Most ozone manifests along the equatorial area, but it lasts long enough to be carried around the globe - so either this was a pocket and only a temporary effect... or just drama. Probably latter.

Including his running and such, His movement all smooth, Just all-around more human like instead of robotic. Maybe even gadgets and such or Jeff giving, fixing and fiddling with himself to an extent to make him better at said things. It would honestly be a cool movie or two to see, Jeff meeting other people, Maybe getting snatched up and going on a hunt to find the dog. I need this so bad.

This is the first movie ever made where everything is set around the dog. When Jeff was first created, he said. "You have a friend!" So you're thinking it as just having a friendship of a by-product by him having been made. No! Jeff's soul purpose in life. His creation. Is to be Goodyear's friend and to take care of him. He knew he was dying and wanted someone, trustworthy, who would take good care of his dog.

Hey, message for J J, and Tomikun, Screw you both, I want to see what Jeff and Goodyear are up to, they can just leave it off with the potential to make it a series or something.

I just watched this movie and finished it a minute ago, I just love the way Jeff speaks more human like as time passed, his voice when he first speak have some distortion but as time passed he speaks more clearly and more human like.

This movie showcases the love humans have for their pets! Creating a robot is definitely something I would do in order to keep my dog alive and safe. Beautiful movie.

I wouldn't say it showcases love for pets in particular, but companionship and guardian relationships in general. You could swap the dog for a kid and it would make no difference.

Wanting a sequel to a movie is when you know the movie doesn't need one. An exceptional ending has already been achieved, no need to ruin it with a sequel that has less meaning. The movie is perfect how it is.

3 scenes made me cry First: when the dog howl after Finch died Second: When I see the RIP sign Finch, Loved by Goodyear and Jeff Third: When Jeff stick the postcard on the Bridge after drawing himself, Goodyear and finch on it. (This one actually made tear up). The best movie ever hands down

This movie was in-between alright - good to me with it leaning more to the good side. It was the lack of threat. We new what the dangers were (sun and other humans) but never actually got to experience it. Would've loved to see the robot actually react and understand the faults of other humans in the situation they were in

He had some rules to fallow. To not hurt another human being was one of them. I think the movie will complicate himself. It needed better writing in some aspects. The death of Dewie didn't affect me that much. But with all his flaws, the movie was better then most people say it is. It has good acting (Jeff's actor is great), good cinematography and effects. The movie is about trust from what I understood. Finch trust in Jeff to take care of Goodyear. But in the same time is about Jeff gradually becoming more human. Finch trusting Jeff and be at peace that Goodyear accepts him is his way of finding redemption. The dog was found in the bag of the girl that Finch didn't try to save becose he was scared. So him creating Jeff is his way of redeeming himself. So redemption. And the movie ends on a high note. The movie is called "Finch" after all.
