I remember when I was a teenager when this song came out i loved that part where Maurice sang "baby baby baby what you gonna do?" What I have always heard is that the record company thought is was a disco album, and in 1980 disco was considered dead. It would have been if they'd actually listened to it! Columbia didn't promote it, and it faded away. Thankfully "Faces" has developed a cult following. I think it's their best, too.

They said something about CBS not happy about them doing their thing with this album "Faces" and then later pressured them to make a hit record or a hit song which led to Raise! album and their catchy yet less ambitious hit song "Let's Groove" in 1981. First time their song sound a bit out of the "elements" Let's Groove did sounded great but I can't help but feel that it's bit too forced and manufactured.
