I've seen so many videos detailing removal of the fender - I love that your steps are basically "take off one bolt and bend the rest" 😂 Works for me!

Thank you Pottsy for posting the trick with the strap. I just did my temp sensor and it was easy to replace with out taking the whole wheel well out. Bravo!!!

Thanks for the Video. I managed to get mine from the top by taking the steering joint bolt out, sliding it out of the way and laying it down. Then using a universal on the socket. Only took about 15 minutes.

Can you detail more exactly how you did that? I mean, I see the upper steering shaft, obstructing access to the coolant sensor, but how did you open the bolt on the steering shaft? Isn't there tension on the shaft?
@Vin_easel Жыл бұрын
@@randy_winklemen also looking for more info on this. I feel like it looks so much easier to just remove the bolt at the top of the steering shaft and move it out of the way, then re attach after. But I’m no professional and I can’t find any info on wether or not I could damage something by doing so. Have you found any more info?
@randy_winklemen Жыл бұрын
@Vin_easel Yeah I can't find more info on it either. And I understand that you have to at least disconnect the battery so the airbag doesn't go off, and I think there's tension on the shaft so you can't just remove the bolt but I'm not sure. I'm going to post something in a jeep forum, will let you know if I get anymore info.

So after lifting the red tab, how easy was to disconnect it from the sensor? But I’m sure by the time I get a response back I’d would have already got the job done.

what was the need for changing the sensor? I have a 2017, and it sporadically pops up "HOT OIL" and runs poorly, or won't start (even from cold start in the morning).

Emergency reply request... My sensor connector "release" faces away from me. I'm using your genius technique for pulling back the stupid wheel well, but that only leaves room for bbn one fat arm and hand. How does the clip work (cuz I cant see it) and what tool do I need?
@phreakyphool4 ай бұрын
I saw a video that had the same problem. He just turned the 19mm sensor with a wrench until he had a better view and better access to the clip.

I bet you lost your patience on disconnecting that sensor, it’s so far taken me close to 2 hrs figuring out that my hand and finger muscles are too weak to disconnect that sensor.
