Hi Tom, It was a great watch! I think turning handwriting into a font is the best way to personalize them. It looks like an amazing idea, and I am sure many people will appreciate it. I am looking forward to trying it out very soon, and I will definitely share this with others as well. Thanks a lot for sharing this great video, it was a very informative watch, and I will definitely give it a try.

Here's the problem. You'll make a video and I'll think "I don't need this" but I'll put it on and watch it just to support the channel. Alway by the end, I'm like "well I absolutely need that." So now I'm sitting here making fonts. Great video, also I hate you for this.

This one is surprisingly simple! And the ability to go back and adjust the font over time is great too because it takes some of the pressure off (if you don't renew your subscription after a month they do erase your font, but they send you all of the files first so you can just re-upload them if you sign up again in the future).

I use your Thumbnails as an example of how good they can be, but the time commitment is huge! Custom fonts quality has improved, (like most tech). Do you use the fonts in documents or is it just on KZbin?
@tombuck2 жыл бұрын
I use them quite a bit in other things, mostly as headers and titles. I think it'd be a little too taxing to try and read an entire document written out that way.

How do we create a cursive connected script font??
@tombuck2 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about that, and you'd probably just need to spend more time in the editor to make sure that the letters are all positioned in ways where they can connect properly. If you look at a lot of cursive fonts you'll notice that most of the parts that connect the letters start and stop and the same height, which lets each letter connect to every other letter. Definitely not as simple as my goofy handwriting though! 😁
