It may not be fixed, because it was originally a bug. In the past, some features of trident killers were removed but never came back. And btw, take back your trident before unloading the chunks, otherwise it will disappear.

I set up signs on the way out of my farms that says dont forget to add trident to chest. Simple fix. Meh on the looting 3. Afk over night for double chests full of whatever. But ye, they've been nerfed/bugged a bit. Ez fixes

If you don’t feel like using a trident, you can put a campfire on the hopper, it won’t burn the items but will kill the skeletons.

Just adding at the moment the trident will disappear if you leave the area by longer than your chunk distance, suggest after using remove trident put in chest next to it for next use , currently ive lost 5 tridents now I’m making a trident farm lol

I'm surprised that noone has every did a spawn farm video where using a copper bulb or other variations to make a kill switch for the spawner. A simple torch behind a block that's attached to a sticky piston right above the spawner would instantly turn off the spawner for maintenance or to prevent having to go back once finished with the tk 🤔

I modified it slightly by adding a piston with a slime block to push the skeletons into the bubble column because they kept getting stuck and it works like a charm. other than that, great farm

@@WuClear basically, the chamber they initially fall into is the same, just get rid of the water leading into the bubble column and block the bubble column from flowing into the initial drop chamber with two signs. I power the piston the same way as the dispenser, but with a bit of a delay on the repeater so the skeletons can actually fall into the chamber. the entire area surrounding the slime block that the skeletons will be pushed by must be made of glazed terracotta, as it is the only block that slime blocks will not try to grab when pushed by a piston. when not active, the slime block should be on the back wall of the initial drop chamber, either at head level or foot level of where the skeletons will land (mine is at head level. theoretically you could put one at both but that requires more redstone).

This update hurt two of your builds that I use. Creeper disc farm is dead as creepers no longer drop discs when killed by skeleton. And the cauldron no longer refills with potion when under a dripstone with water above. The potion one was a real pain, I managed to get 11 / 13 discs from the other contraption.

The farm works pretty well. It required some workaround in the survival mode when building the bubble column but otherwise, I got the result I wanted. So thanks a ton, Jason. Just a quick one: I was able to get loot and XP at the beginning (even on v1.20) but all of a sudden it stopped providing XPs, it just gives me loot. Any idea why? I share the world and the skeleton farm with my kids on a Realms server so they might have broken something. However, the loot is still being produced, only XP is not. I'm on Win 11 on XP level 30, the kids are on the PS4 but I have not tried there yet. So I'm kinda puzzled about what could be wrong here. Any ideas, guys? Thank you.

I was able to fix it by breaking the glass block at the trident killing chamber and the block above the torch to the right of the slab. I stopped the killing process by flicking the lever down and I picked up the trident. After killing all skeletons that fell into the killing chamber in the meantime I quickly threw the trident into the piston and closed the killing chamber with the glass block again. Not sure what actually was wrong, it could have been a glitch in the game itself but these steps fixed the problem for me eventually.

For whatever reason the loot isn't being funneled down from the kill chamber. I have the minecart with hopper directly below the trident killer but I'm having to go into the kill chamber to retrieve the loot that's piling up. Everything else seems to be working brilliantly though, so I thank JC for yet another great build. If anyone has any remedies I might try, that would be much appreciated! Tyia.

I just started playing bedrock with my kids, on Java I can hold tools and such in offhand so it's easy to repair items but in bedrock I can not do that, this farm will make it easy for me to repair items without using it to kill thank you. I modded this a little and added a few extra chests to funnel the “trash” into the Incinerator, that way, I can see if anything good is getting melted down before it happens (such as any bows or armor with enchantments)

Trident doesn't break, but it will disappear when the chucks unload. A workaround is remove the trident before you leave the farm. There is a Mojang bug report for v1.17.30 issue. Also, this is a problem in the Beta version.

Great design but there is one flaw that I just found today I am not sure what the cause is but it’s either that I ran it and walked away or what I believe the reason is that I have a lot of farms on my world causing quite a bit of lag, so when I was lagging, and I walked away as it was running, the trident vanished, and it no longer works SHORT VERSION: when I walked a couple of chunks away from the farm while it was running, I had really bad lag (not caused by the farm) which made the trident inside of the trident killer disappear
