@@CoachGobotch Sadly, I jumped the gun and did a 50 minute session with no audio lol. I got it sorted. My equipment is old and cannot do it live with my current config but I can do it prerecorded and then upload it later, which is fine because I will likely start adding graphics and audio cues, stills and such.

I was just doing sync offset and it wasn't quite right. Adding in the extra filter to your exact specs ended up working perfectly for my Canon t3i. Thank you so much! Saved me a lot of trial and error.

ANYONE watching this video, FIRST you have to note is which is the most delayed thing you have out of the 4. Video input, Audio input : GAME Video Input and GAME Audio Input. Then work your way down from there. You cannot speed up anything to match, so you have to slow down the faster inputs. Once you recognize the slowest input, start delaying the other inputs little by little till its flawless. Use increments of 100 mms. YOU'RE WELCOME 😁. SOLID dude, I was so confused cuz I had the ms delay on my cam synced with my mic and was still wondering why the hell it was off sync. After watching this video it's all synced up. Thanks a lot! FYI: My ms for my webcam was 633 and my mic delay is 733ms. Hope this helps!

Thank you!! I couldn't figure out why it wasn't syncing and the thought that maybe my computer wasn't powerful enough to keep up with each other crossed my mind too. This fixed the delay! My mic offset was 740 if it helps anyone else.

I am so excited to try this out. I really hope it works. I have a good feeling though. I use my Sony A6400 as my video but I started to notice a significant lag between the video and the audio. Everybody keeps on talking about having to post process the video/audio and I've been trying to find a "quick-fix". I don't know how many videos I've searched through and I don't remember how I got here, but I have a good feeling that this is it. Thank you so much for giving an actual quick fix. Keep it up!

Polo 3000 in the end, I didn’t need to use the “async” filter on my camera. I just altered the “sync offset” in my audio properties.

The Async is only needed if you capture video faster for some reason. But my webcam feed is a bit delayed after the game, so adding desync will just make it more out of sync. But the mic adjustments should fix it

At first everything flows on in the stream, but then I start to notice that the sound and the camera will not be in sync. I do not know how to do this .. When you start your OBS make sure to right click the app and start as admin. Sometimes that can fix it.

Also while in stream you can change the delay. Sometimes let’s say my delay offset is 200 ms. And I see it’s going wonky then I quickly go to the mixer and change it to 0 and then back to 200 and it fixes.

I'm having a weird problem where the my microphone and webcam go in and out of sync many times over the course of a stream. Initially they are in sync, but then quickly, over the course of about a second, the webcam will fall behind the audio and stay there for a minute or so, then the webcam video will speed up for a second and catch up with the audio and stay there for a minute or so, and then the process repeats many times over the course of the stream. Any ideas on this?

I’m not sure... I usually in break points in my streams I re input the ms delays on my cam and mic and it keeps it all in sync.

I still don't understand my issue. Using streamlabs with the switch and whenever I go to certain screens (specifically the snes nso game selection) the audio instantly delays and gets worse by the second. I dont get it. I can close streamlabs and its fixed till I go to that screen again

Great video! But it didn't quite solve my syncing issue. I use Zoom for teaching and I'm a new user of OBS. The problem I'm having is my voice and video are out of sync on Zoom. When I view my Zoom window and OBS side-by-side, the OBS video is slightly delayed and the Zoom is slower than OBS. I attempted to add the 'Video Delay (Async)' filter but I have a slight delay at 0 ms so adding any delay only makes it worse. Audio: Using virtual cables, I have my mic and desktop audio going out to Zoom for my students. When I speak into my mic, there's an obvious delay (I've signed into my own Zoom meeting from another device). When I play my desktop audio, however, I can hear from the other device (through my earbuds) that the desktop audio is perfectly in sync. So my student would hear my desktop exactly as the audio does out but they would hear my mic with a delay. Don't know if you are anyone else in the comments has any idea on how to help me with this video audio syncing issue but any help would be appreciated.

You’d need to test record to see what delay you have in MS. And go from there. My delay was about 315 ms but that will vary for each person

Thanks for this. Using two cameras and a scarlett for audio. I synced the main camera. Having issues syncing the other. Dont want to mess with the offset. Which means If the video is ahead of audio. We use the vid delay sync to delay video ?

They changed the SLOBS interface. I have a weird setup. My PC is Windows, Interface is Thunderbolt so I have to use a separate out from my interface into into my PC's line in/mic input on the MOBO. But randomly i started getting a delay on the video, like my video and audio are off-set. ANd I cannot figure out why. This is really annoying especially because I play music and record videos of me playing and singing. It looks fake. Any suggestions??

Okay but... what if you're using a GoPro and capture card with it, which means you need to delay your game capture (playing on PC, so the GoPro/Cap Card creates about a 1 second delay between when I move and when it shows up on the viewer in SLOBS). There's no option to add a delay filter to game capture.

Perhaps you can help me! But I noticed I experience random spikes of lag from my webcam display only while I stream. It is completely random and I get no errors coming from slobs. It's like the cam display will lag then speed up really quickly to catch up with audio and I am at a loss on how to fix it. No gameplay lags at all, just the camera.

hmmm I guess you need to see what is delayed and match the ms offset with that delay to fix it. I would record a segment and import to some editing software to see what ms the delay is and match that in SLOBS.

So I found the number that works for me on the webcam delay but for whatever reason, after a while the webcam desynchronizes. Then I have to adjust the webcam delay again and again. Any ideas?

make sure the timestamp option is off. Also, what I do before I stream or record I reset the numbers for the delay and then put them back in. Works every time for me.

Gobotch yea, I noticed when you reset the numbers it fixes the issue. I just unchecked the time stamps too. Sometimes I do long streams so it would randomly desync and I would just reset it. Was hoping there was a way to avoid that since it gets annoying
